White arrows are awesome!
I wanted some new carbon arrows to run out of my Bob Lee Shikari with carbon cobra curve limbs at 50@28 which with my 29.5" draw I'm pulling about 55#. I bought the test kit C with a 260/300/340 spine and some ethics archery posts and sleeves to make a heavy FOC and bulletproof durable setup. I thought 340 would be the trick with a 200 gr point, not so much. Went with the 300… read more spine, 81gr ethics insert, and a 200gr head and it was weak at full length. Eventually the best tune I got was to trim it down to 30.25" with 81gr ethics insert and a 125gr head. The finish on them chips very easily, which was the whole reason I got them was to have an all white shaft for visibility and shot analysis without having to add weight on the back with a wrap. I knew if I tried to scrape off the old fletchings off it would totally damage the finish, so I just kept rubbing with acetone. The fletching glue broke down and I got my fletchings off, but it still ate away at the finish in some spots and ended up looking like the other reviewer's picture. I think I'll use them still, but I want to run a heavier point as well as a lighted nock so I might have to experiment with the 260 spine test arrow. I'm just surprised because I didn't expect to need such a stiff spine and thought the finish would be more durable. Might end up switching back to aluminum so I never have to worry about scraping off old fletchings again after this. Plus, this is a 3rivers exclusive meaning that if they're out of stock you won't be able to find them anywhere else, and once they're gone they're gone.
Gifts For My Son
My son is happy with all the gifts I bought from Three Rivers Archery.
Don't waste your money
The vision quest coating is not durable at all. Shooting tight groups leads to the finish easily chipping off and leaves you with a terrible looking arrow. The new Easton legacy carbon arrows have a much more durable finish for less money. The " super space finish" just doesn't last. I have had gold tip blemish shafts hold up far better than these arrows.
Great product. Perfect for gap shooting being white.
Great for long draw archers. White makes it easy to see for gap shooting.
Great arrows, but inserts need tighter tolerances.
Great arrows, but beware the "half out" inserts have low thread tolerances. To much wiggle room. I was unable to get broadheads to spin true. You would want to use Axis HIT inserts to get a tighter tolerance for proper broadhead alignment.
Great arrows
Great arrows hiighly underrated, great flight pretty neat to watch the arrows fly at low light almost like they glow easy to track arrows shot the heck outa em coating is still holding strong-wacedog
Decent for the Price
Pros: -The white is great for aiming point-on. -Consistent weight and spine -Good price Neutral: -Durability is average. About as tough as Victory V Force if you've used those. Cons: -Unlike the Barebow name would lead you to believe, the half-outs aren't a great option if you plan on using these for stringwalking because they increase the size of your "sight pin" from .204" to… read more .313". Because they're necked up, they also tend to get lost in foam targets. -I had issues with feathers not sticking with Fletch Tite Platinum. Maybe CA glue and a light sanding will yield better results.
Awsome shaft
Well designed for optimal use for gap shooters- the white finish brings the eye naturally to the tip The finish is the best I have ever seen and it has passed multiple torture tests
My Favorite Shafts
These have quickly become my favorite shafts. I have used gold tip including the XT series and I definitely prefer these.
Awesome shafts!
Received these for Christmas and fletched them up. Super smooth finish and love shooting them. They are especially good in low light conditions.
I would recommend a 600 for that weight of bow. These will all take a 9/32" point.
A 400 spine @ 30 " with 3 grains per inch weight tubes with 150 grain point.It would be close to 550.
It could go either way you may want to get the test kit and try both out.
I would recommend a 600 for that weight of bow. These will all take a 9/32" point.
Unfortunately, we do not have this spine in stock to measure yet. However, Easton has told us that outside diameter is approximately .283
Yes we can install inserts at full length. I would guess a 600 would be good for that weight.
They are not made with rear weight systems in mind. You would have to get a Gold Tip Accu Tough outsert.
