Finish doesn't hold up

The arrows are consistent and accurate. I'm not crazy about the light weight (9.1 gpi). The bad part is the finish. Whatever was used to put that wood grain appearance on them must be soft. After only 4 shots the finish is wearing, peeling. They're also much more difficult to pull out of the foam block target. I assume this is due to the finish heating up from friction. I'll stay read more with xx75's.

I bare shaft tuned, but was surprised that the arrows showed too stiff are fletching with 4" feathers. I had to compensate with heavier points.

Nice set of arrows. My first set of carbons to hunt with. I built them using all products from 3 rivers. They fly great through my old Bear

I have been using these shafts and building my own arrows for many years. I find them to be solid, well made, consistent and very durable. The finish is smooth and holds up well to lots of use. I have harvested several deer with them.

A good choice.

I purchased the Traditional Only shafts to replace some of the Grizzly Sticks I had been using. I liked the Grizzly Sticks but didn't like the cost per shaft. I put a reflective arrow wrap on the shafts and fletched them with four 5 inch feathers with a right helical. I added a 3 grain per inch weight tube and a 50 grain brass insert. This gave the finished arrow a weight approximately read more the same as my Grizzly Stick Alaskans. Accuracy seems good, limited only by the shooter. I put all six of the arrows in a space about the size of a tennis ball at about 15 yards.

Love the consistency. Never any defects. Very durable. Very easy to tune foc with brass inserts. Overall excellent quality. Would like a footed shaft appearance.

Shaft only, no fletchings or tips

Love the arrows but we didn't know that there were no fletchings, only the shaft and nock. Had to pay more to get fletchings installed, bummer.

I would start with a 400 spine running a 150 grain point. Spine depends on form so you may want t o get a point test kit and try different weights for flight testing.

You will most likely need a 400 spine in the "Traditional Only" 5 years ago

You will most likely need a 400 spine in the "Traditional Only" shafts but so much depends on what weight point you plan on using. You will benefit greatly by using 3Rivers spine calculator available on their website. 3RiversArchery.com/Spine-Calculator. To my knowledge they will continue to make these excellent shafts available. Very durable with better straightness tolerance than most others in this price range. I have been shooting them for many years. I either loose them or shoot another into the mock end which no arrow made will tolerate. Good shooting and stay safe. 2Feathers
