Haven't lost an arrow yet with the rubber blunts

field shooting nothing in particular, good for judging distance and hold over. Wish they came in heaver models - may have to try weight or that big Zwicky spring point

Use Them For Target Shooting

Chessnut

I use these blunts for target shooting, using a long bow and wooden arrows. The target is a 4' x 6' carpet upon which I've drawn circles with a permanent marker. The blunts leave temporary, round dents on the carpet, thus I can see where they strike it. The arrows fly true, the blunts are durable (haven't damaged one yet). Going to use these on affordable aluminum arrows, for read more stump shooting (I've broken costly wooden arrows doing this;bad idea), to see how they function.

Yes! Love these

I put cow marker crayon on bottom and it marks where you hit while stump shooting. Also marks game animals ?

I shot 1 rabbit 3 times at close range with a 65lbs compound bow and it didn't phase it. I know all 3 shots impacted from the fur it pulled out and was left on the rubber itself. Plus I seen em with my own 2 eyes. My wife was also at my side and confirmed every shot was a hit. 2 body shots and, 1 closer to the rear leg. Which I feel bad about cause the rabbit hopped away on 1 leg. read more Definitely going to use something different for hunting for more ethical kills. I don't want to just inflict pain.

Best blunt ever

Way fun for backyard shoots and they don't put holes in your bag Target. Cottontails and squirrels are one shot kills. Stop shooting is way more fun with these and if you miss and hit something really hard your arrow doesn't take such a beating and these don't snake under the grass. Tons of fun pretty much everything is at Target now!

Bunches of fun

I've put these on both wood and carbon shafts, all with flu-flu's. If you round off your field points or just remove them from your wood arrows, you shouldn't have any problems with these. Unless, of course, you're shooting really high poundage at really close range at really hard stuff. Oh, and let some air out of your soccer ball before you shoot at it. You and anybody standing read more around you will be glad you did.

Functional Rubber Blunts

Acorn (insignificant nut in the woods )

Worked perfectly for my purpose ... youth safety I have four grandsons, 3 to 9. I looked around for many beginner bows and accompaning arrows. All the descent bows came with bullet tip (pointed) target arrows. I bought these and slid them over the points. They work prefectly. They are heavy duty and very snug and don't seem prone to come off. They are too tight for my boys read more to pull off. Now I can take them all shooting in the woods with piece of mind. I hung some 2 litre plastic trink bottles on strings from tree limbs that postion the bottles close to the ground. Now we stroll along a path and wack at each target as we encounter it. They love it. I love it.

Great blunts!

These rubber blunts are great for stump shooting, or small game. I have used them successfully on rabbits. The blunts are designed to fit only on arrow shafts that have tapered points, so be sure to taper wooden arrows, as if preparing them for glue-on points!

Awesome blunt.

I bought this blunt BC I wanted something to bust squirrels with. I put them on my carbon arrows that I shoot out of a ~63 lb compound. I thought the rubber would absorb more energy than what they do. I did break one arrow when it hit a hard surface that didn't give but that's to be expected. The blunt is devastating to small game though, exceeding expectations. It also flies extremely read more well. I haven't noticed any erratic flight, even at 30 yards.

Not just for hunting

Sometimes you have a really bad day, and you really want to destroy something. On the other hand, there are no bunnies, or you don't know what to do with a dead bunny. Take your bow, put a stick into the ground, and suspend a metal cookie tin from it. Load up with bunny buster tipped arrows and have at it! Here's the trick: You are mad enough that you really want to hit that tin, read more but unless you first let go, become mindful, focus on your form, it ain't gonna happen. Pure therapy!

I use a 30# Nomad horse bow for mounted archery & Fleetwood carbon arrows (800). Could I just change out my field points for these for practice in the yard? 5/16? Would it be best if I bought some wood arrows to use with these? What kind for my bow?

These will work on any material arrow but they perform the best 5 years ago

These will work on any material arrow but they perform the best on wood shafts. Carbon arrows vary so much in diameter sometimes it may not be the best fit.

Sent from my iPad The arrow will not necessarily lodge into the head.  It will become snug.   However, over time the arrow will wear down the rubber center of the head and expose the shaft. Then it's time to replace the head.
