I am a recreational archer and want to get into 3D archery, so looking for alternatives to a hip quiver for better comfort on the move. I am also just interested in experimenting with the various types of quivers for the sport of it before investing in a higher end version. The Bearpaw Big Adventure Back Pack checks all my boxes for required features: Three point fixation using… read more an included side strap; an accessory pouch, high arrow capacity, resistant to moisture from both sweat and elements. Most of the other back quivers meeting all of these criteria are made from suede, which left me skeptical on moisture resistance. The materials are similar to that on Easton side quivers and packs. It is tough and easy to clean. As noted in the description, it is semi-rigid, with enough stiffness to hold its form but with just enough give to adjust to drawing arrows. The accessory pouch is shallow but still large enough for stringer, shooting glove, small archery tools. The quiver itself is divided into two compartments with what appears to be a interior hard plastic bottom. Each compartment is oval shaped at the top, long side parallel to the back, keeping the quiver profile and center of gravity close to the back. But both compartments are reachable. The quiver holds 24 field pointed arrows snugly, 18 comfortably. It is not equipped for broad heads, but I would never use a traditional profile back quiver for that purpose anyway. Both main and side straps are very adjustable and fully detachable. I am 5'8", wear a mens' large t-shirt. I can snug up both straps with length to spare. Going the other way, there is plenty of adjustment for bulky clothes and larger archers. At the front, the side strap attaches via black snap hooks to a black metal ring, just like back quivers made of more traditional materials. I also think it looks cool, though obviously not in the same way as its traditional leather counterparts.
No, the hand choice is which hand you draw your bow string with, or access the quiver.
