You can use this back quiver with broadheads because the bottom has been reinforced. The descriptions will let you know if the quiver is broadhead approved.

I used to bow hunt, but with a bow mounted quiver. Broadhead tipped arrows, when put in and taken out of a back quiver are going to tear up other arrows and the quiver itself. You can do it, sure, but it's not a good idea.

There is a lot to answer. The quiver is great. Broadheads are sharp! What I have settled on is a two bladed broadhead (more traditional) slipped into a sheath (available at three rivers), and I only carry two, one on each side of the quiver, no arrow clanking noise. I have never needed more than two arrows. As I hunt on the ground, good luck getting a second shot at a spooked deer, but sometimes the finish shot is required. Hope that helps, nice quiver though.

Graham, I have used the deluxe back quiver for almost 2 years now and am completely satisfied with the product. As far as putting broadheads and going into the field with it I have not had much experience with that sort of application as I have a side mount quiver attached to my bow that I use for hunting arrows. There is a leather-clad bar in the middle that separates two pockets for different arrows to go into which doesn't allow the quiver to collapse against the arrows. This would create noise as the arrows are loose in the quiver rattling against each other. Also ducking under obstacles can dump out all the arrows onto the ground. Now don't let this discourage you, the quiver is easily adjustable and quite literally molds to your body. You can learn to keep those arrows quiet while walking around and even learn to keep all the arrows in your quiver while ducking and eluding obstacles. The more arrows you have in the quiver the quieter it will get. The leather is thick so I wouldn't worry about poking a hole through the bottom of it with a broadhead. If you use anything other than a 2-blade head you might run into drawing out too many arrows as the broadheads will catch each other and pull more than the one arrow you need. I hope this helps. The divider is just at the top and does not go all the way to the bottom.

The hand selection is the hand you will pulling the arrows out of the quiver with. So right handed is for right handed shooters pulling arrows with their right hand while holding the bow in their left.

I do not have Exact measurements of the quiver, but on inspecting it in detail, I do believe it has more than enough adjustment to fit your frame.

hi mate it is a very cool quiver it has adjustable straps that are a lot like a belt so it would be possible to change the bottom straps easy enough with more leather if you really had to! good luck mate!

Really i don’t know,,,,, my chest is 42 inches and I still have 5 holes left in the shoulder strap (the holes are about 1-1/2 inches apart). Please note that these are my summer settings, winter will bring thicker clothing. Just as an also ran, any competent saddle maker could easily fashion a longer strap, cause by the way I too, love the looks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Paul

I live in Alaska and I use this quiver bear, caribou, moose, and rabbit hi Hunting. I love this quiver and I think it will fit you well, but I think it would be worth it even if you had to go to the fabric store and get a leather strip to add to the strap. As far as I'm concerned its a great purchase.

Probably. I am not a big guy (chest 41"), and I use the quiver with the strap in the third of eight holes available--so there's plenty of room for expansion. rh

It should be, I'm an average sized man and I have the strap tightened all the way and it fits a little loosely on me. There's also a lot of extra there to help fit about any size :)

The expedition quiver is a really great one for holding Broad heads.There are plenty of other quivers that will work well just remember to pack the bottom of the quiver very well to protect your quiver.

hi mate the royal delux back quiver has shearling inside the top of quiver and inside the bottem. I use a wide variety of hunting heads and it works great!

I have the right handed version of this quiver and it's a really nice quiver to be honest. It has a leather support inside the top part of the quiver that splits it into 2 sides and at the moment i have 12 target points in the left pouch and 3 broad heads, a arrow that lost its tip, and a flu flu in the right pouch with extra room. The bottom of the quiver is pretty thick and has a layer of what looks to be wool to stop the arrows going through and it helps keep it quiet as well. You probably could 12 broad heads on this thing without and issue :)

You select the quiver the same hand you pull the string with.

The quiver should be ordered for same that you draw the string back with. This will be the hand that you use to reach your arrow from the quiver and then nock it in order to shoot. Right handed shooter = right handed quiver. The quiver mouth will sit over the the right shoulder of the archer.

Will a right handed shooter needs a right handed quiver. You use the hand that draws the string back. If you are right handed you would draw with your right hand thus drawing the arrow out and over your right shoulder.

I ordered a right hand back quiver. I’m pretty sure I found the answer to your question on the 3 Rivers website. Anyway I use my right hand to reach backward to grab an arrow (by the nock) and then reach forward with my right hand (in an arc) and am ready to nock my arrow. It really is a smooth manoeuvre. Answer, If you use your left hand to hold the bow, you need a right hand back quiver.

When I ordered my quiver, I assumed that "left hand" referred to a left-handed shooter, which I am. So I ordered the "LH" model and it works fine. As a left-handed shooter, I hold the bow in my right hand and reach over my shoulder for an arrow from the quiver with my left hand. rh

If I remember correctly if you order a right handed one, the quiver top will be over your right shoulder, so you would grab the arrow with your right hand.

If you are right handed the quiver should be over your right shoulder as you are holding the bow in your left hand. This enables your right hand to pull the arrow from the the quiver and place it on the bow without interrupting your "hold" position. It reverses for the left hand shooter. This is one the best most comfortable quivers that I have ever used.

The quiver hangs diagonally, so for a lefty (me) I'm reaching up over my left shoulder to pull my next arrow out -- FYI we ordered one of each, as my son shoots right. Only concern I could conceive for the quiver is drawing an arrow out is essentially an arm-length event, but not an issue if your shooting a properly sized arrow - if it's too long you might have a problem. If you shoot a right handed bow you buy a right hand quiver.

I'm left handed meaning I draw the bow with my left hand. I also use my left hand to grab the arrows from my quiver because I'm holding the bow with my right.

These straps should have plenty of length to accommodate any body tip, even in a winter coat.

I love this quiver - the look, the fit, the construction, all of it. I live in Southern California and don't have a heavy winter jacket, but I did put on a sheepskin lined leather vest, followed by a polar fleece jacket, and a lined leather jacket. The clip would have fit with two inches of length adjustment, and there are 6 inches more beyond that. I believe you'd have no trouble adjusting to fit over a winter coat.

Even if you are a big guy, you could hug a bear with both of you in winter coats and have room to go over the bothof you. The straps are actually a little TOO long for me, but it is an amazing piece of craftsmanship.

After looking at mine I would say that it's pretty likely. There's a good amount of extra room for expanding bigger :)
