Good broadhead
These are great broad heads that fly great. Even being a double bevel you can easily get them sharp enough to shave the hairs on your arm. The only thing is these heads are now unreasonably priced. I bought mine years ago for about half of what they are now. No broadheads are worth $80/package. At this rate the average joe is being pushed out of bowhunting. Especially being a canadian… read more $80us is about $110ish canadian plus $35-40 shipping to Alberta and you are looking at almost $150/pkg......better not miss!!!
Very good product
Have harvested two whitetail deer with these broad heads with 3 rivers wooden shafts . Very effective!
Advertiseed Broadhead weight is way off
I have used the 2 blade Eclipse broad heads in the past with success. The closest thing to the old style Magnus. However when I ordered the 145 grain (also states 145 grain on the package and stamped on the broadhead) recently, they weighed about 15 grains less on my digital grain scale--every one of them between 130 and 132gr.. I double checked the scale calibration--it was perfectly… read more accurate. I sent an e-mail to Blake Fisher (owner) but no reply.
Good solid product
I haven't hunted with the Eclipse heads for very long now, but was lucky enough to send them towards a couple of nice bucks last fall. The arrows hardly slowed down and passed completely through both animals. I watched both go down within sight. These broadheads are devastating and tough.
Wrong weight!!
I had bought those blades to try something different from the usual Magnus or Zwickey. After a couple of shots I noticed that my arrows were not flying as usual. Although the package and blade engraving say 125 gr, the scale says 143 to 146 gr! I can't recommend to buy those blades with misleading weight information. It's a shame because they look pretty tough and fairly well crafted.… read more They'll stay on my shelf, unless 3rivers agree to exchange them for real 125gr.
Eclipse broadheads for the masses.
I have used Magnus, Woodsmans, and Eclipse broadheads. I love the Eclipse. I bought the 145gr heads. I shoot them out of longbows and recurves ranging from 45 to 68#. They fly well and are very durable. They are by far the easiest broadheads to sharpen. I am not sure if that is due to my abilities or the broadhead though. Their ease of sharpening, good flight, and durability… read more are the primary reasons I choose these other the competition.
I would buy this product again and agai
very tough and keep long time a very good sharp edge in the quiver
Wicked Blades
Great broadheads. Had to sharpen upon receiving the item, but they hold an edge well and are built strong to with stand those less than perfect shots.
GREAT BROADHEAD
I THINK IT'S ONE OF THE BEST HEADS ON THE MARKET. EVEN FRED A LIKE THEM.
Eclipse 2-Blade Broadheads
Bought these after reading an article about them in a traditional only magazine. Was impressed with the construction and durabilirty of these broadheads. Nice teflon coating. 145 gr head was just right for my set-up, great flight.
The Eclipse Broadheads need to be sharpened from the package. The manufacture recommends a 25 degree angle.
You can use either one without issue.
The thickness at the back of the blade is .031 and at the tip is .061 inches.
The are sold by the 6 packs.
At the time (more than a year ago) they came in a pack of 6. Contrary to my comment left on the website just after receiving them, they are (very) good blades. Minor weight variations are not so important in traditional bow hunting.
There are six broadheads per pack.
6
I pulled some from the shelf and they all measured a hair over 1 1/8". These heads will be legal to use in all 50 states.
Measuring the width from the farthest cutting edge to cutting edge at the widest width near the base, with factory edge and grind untouched (right from the package, my measurements come to 1 3/16th in; however, it is 1 1/8 in from the innermost grind edge to the innermost grind edge...it should not matter either way unless you are facing a state or provincial regulation that sets minimum blade or cutting widths for broadheads...if this isn't the case, the difference is mute. It's a really tough and balanced 2 blade broadhead...one of the best on the market.
This is something being considered for the future. I can not say though if or when that would happen though.
They are double bevel.
The diameter of the Eclipse broadheads is 11/32". These will fit on larger and smaller shaft sizes, you will just see some of the taper on larger diameters, or create a "lip" when on smaller.
The Eclipse web site says "Ferrule fits both 11/32" and 23/64"
