Great broadhead
I bought these for hunting and they performed great! I got good penetration with my lighter weight bow.
Not built well.
The general design of the head is good, it is tried and true. However, the way the blade is attached to the ferrule is inconsistent and needs improved. The blade is just pressure fit inside of it, and 6 out of 6 of the heads i received (I sadly purchased 2 packs) had the blades be very lose and wobbly on the ferrule. So lose that I can both hear and see the movement just by lightly… read more wiggling it with my fingers. The steel of the blade and the aluminum ferrule both seem sturdy, and I have no doubt it would hold up well if you made good shot placement, but hitting a shoulder blade or the leg bone below it would more than likely turn this broadhead into a very thin field tip. Pretty disappointing overall. I have some 100 gain 2-blades that I got on Amazon and they are chinese knockoffs, but because they have an actual tension screw securing the blades, they do not move at all. Seems like pure laziness on the company. I made the switch to G5 montecs. I shoot a 60 pound longbow so I never needed the extra penetration of a two blade, but I still think it is nice to have. For 45 dollars for 3 broadheads I expect way better quality and consistency. Final note, the little rubber pressure rings used to hold the broadheads stable on the arrow are basically pointless, as the rubber is way too soft and weak. It just pops over the arrow with any type of pressure. Attached is a video of a brand new head that has never even been screwed on an arrow, and you can see how loose the blade is.
These broadheads are 125gr only .
The standard head is shorter and the cutting diameter is smaller than the premium head also the heat treating is different , the premium is harder .
If your arrow is about 10 grains per pound of bow weight it should be fine for penetration.
They suck they are not consistent
