I would buy this back quiver again
Good quiver kit ,easy to construct if you have ever done leather lacing. You must taper the raw hide lace ends. The shoulder strap is too short for me I am 5 10 a stocky 210 lbs, but an easy fix with a piece of leather or an old belt. Quiver is large and supple. I am very happy with mine.
Nice Quality and Large
The guy wrote 6-8 hours wasn't kidding and my fingers are sore. The end product came out really nice. It will easily hold 3-4 dozen arrows with Target Points. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the poor instructions that came with it and 1 lace was different colored. I wish the kit came with one more 72-inch piece because I don't like how the top is finished. In the end, it was… read more a wonderful project and a useful product.
Quiver review
The quiver is great. It holds a lot(24+) of arrows. The quiver fits me perfect at the loosest setting ( I'm 5'9" 165lbs)
Nice basic quiver
I bought this quiver to replace a cheap knockoff of the Neet quiver they have here (bought it from a big box hunters store), which failed as I was trying to get the straps sized correctly. This quiver will easily hold 2 if not 3 dozen arrows. The leather is thick, tough and should last a while. If you're like me and don't mind sitting down for 6-8 hours for the assembly process,… read more definitely buy it. If you're looking for something usable right out of the box or shortly after, move along. Its not that it's difficult to do, it just takes time to do ir right. That said, the pros: Great capacity, 24-36 arrows as assembled from kit form. Nice thick leather and rawhide lacing. Assembles to a very nice quiver if you don't rush it. It should last for quite a while. The cons: I'm a large framed guy, over 6', 240#. The included strap is a bit small, its usable but barely. Will be replacing it since its already tight while only wearing a t shirt. The instructions are sorely lacking. More finised pics would be nice and maybe Wyandotte could hire a technical writer for an hour to make things a little more clear. I was happy with my end result but I can see that a lot of people might not have the forethought or patience for this kit. Know what you're buying and accomodate. Don't buy this right before a planned hunt unless you allow the time to put it together and tweak it to your own needs. The pieces are cut just a tad off, so trimming of the leather will come into play and may affect overall appearance. The leather body has pre cut holes but they only worried about the holes from the finished side, when you're trying to feed the rawhide laces through the interior(unfinished) side, it's gonna be a bit difficult. The pocket is small, made of the same thick leather as the body and seems more ornamental than functional. I'll be tweeking that as well. Tips: Take your time, read and re read the instructions. You'll be happy you did. It'll allow you to assess the parts of the instructions that are lacking and accomodate as you go(attach the lower strap section before lacing up the 2nd side, trust me!). Have an awl or #1 sized screwdriver handy as well as a knife. You're gonna need to enlarge some holes for lacing, ESPECIALLY from the backside of the leather. They recommend that you shave the lace ends to a point. DO IT. Assembly is much easier that way. I also imbibed the pointed ends with a fast setting glue to stiffen them up. Well worth the extra few seconds, trust me. Take your time! If you read the instructions, think about the next step or two as you're progressing and don't rush through the assembly, you'll end up with a nice quiver.
Great quiver
easy to assemble. i added some fur to the top to quiet it down for hunting.and a foam piece in the bottom for broadheads.
Kit Does The. Job
The kit had very clear, easy to follow directions. It is the best quiver I've had for ease of access, comfort and capacity. I added a thick rubber pad for broad heads and two bands of lambs wool to cut down on arrow rattle. The leather is top quality but, I've given it plenty of wax dressing to help in weather-proofing.
Lots of Room
Very large quiver with small extra compartment. So far so good. With so much room you can also use it as ah small pack.
POOR QUIVER
POOR QUALITY QUIVER
Simple and functional
This kit is very simple and easy to put together.
NICE QUIVER
THIS IS A WONDERFUL QUIVER IF YOU ENJOY BUILDING THINGS YOURSELF. IT'S GOOD FOR THE PEOPLE WHO CAN'T AFFORD THE HIGH DOLLAR QUIVERS.
We do not have the strap by itself unfortunately.
This does not have foam or anything in the bottom. You would have to add something if you wanted to use broadheads with this quiver.
The leather in this kit has been pre stained.
The leather averages 6 to 7 oz. in thickness and it is a fairly soft leather so it will conform to your back to some degree with arrows in it. If your arrows rattle we do stock Sheep Shearling to line the top part of the quiver. Item Number: 4547,3riversarchery.com/Shearling+Sheepskin+Quiver+Liner_i4547_baseitem.html
We sell the leather lacing and we can make you a copy of the instructions
No, it does not. We do sell a side strap separately (Item# 6110) that should work with it.
Yes the side strap sold here works great on this Wyandotte style quiver.
This quiver will hold approximately 24 arrows to were the Field quiver only holds 12.
Yes, there is nothing to keep the arrows from bumping into each other. If you are looking for a quieter quiver I recommend a bow quiver modified as a side quiver, or a plain bow quiver. The gripper and foam will keep the arrows from moving.
Yes, all of the quiver kits come with leather lace.
