This is the perfect quiver for tree stand hunters who want to remove the quiver after getting into the stand. The tightening knobs work great and secure the quiver perfectly. I chose this quiver due to the versitility and I love the concept of it. It was between this quiver and another that you have to take the limb bolts off every time you want to remove the quiver and this one seamed easier to deal with. first off, I love the fact that it does not use the foom inside for holding the arrows. It has a durable rubberhole precutt for all five arrows.… read more It is also precut for broad heads up to 4 blades. It is very easy to set up and appears to be very good quality. I only have two complaints. I love the traditional look and in the picture the quiver had no graphics on the leather and when I recieved it it had the three rivers logo of the two men standing and kneeling shooting their bows. If I would have known this I would have got the one that said fred eichler. The other complaint is that the pieces that go under your limb bolts for easy on and off removal of the quiver are made of plastic that doesn't seem like they will last very long and the adhesive that they use is not very good either. The quiver is fairly priced, but it would have been nice if this piece was made of aluminum. Overall I am satified with this product and I am still happy with my decision due to the concept of design. By the way Three Rivers customer service is great. They will take all the time you need over the phone with no sence of rushing you to help make a decision. Thanks three rivers.

I like the fact that it is easily removable or light weight enough to keep on the bow with out unstringing it .I usually take the quiver off while on stand cause I'm used to hunting an shooting without one, also no more carrying hip quivers or Sidewinder back packs or roadtrip packs with the quiver strapped. This thing is just what IV been looking for.

This quiver is perfect for takedown bows. The light weight seems to have no effect on shooting. The quick detaching is a plus, although the quiver is so light, I have not bothered. If one is worried about the leather hood in wet weather, a good coat of Snow Seal should solve that problem.

I wish the metal rod was on the front off the quiver it makes it hard to access the arrows on the bottom

Easy to put on and remove. Perfect for those who wish to remove the quiver in a tree stand. Does not affect the bows performance, whether on or off.

I just acquired a 52" vintage Red Wing Hunter that has 2 inserts in the front of the riser. Will this quiver work for me?

That will depend on what inserts they are. This particular quiver is made to be used with a 3 piece take down. If you can let us know if they are the sight bushing or the Bear quiver bushings we can let you know which quivers will work.

I don't believe it will work on a bow that is not a 3 pc. takedown. Those inserts are likely for one of the proprietary bow companies' quiver mounting systems, or some type of sights.
