Outstanding Broadhead

USBP1969

For a long time I tried to sharpen them with no success so I intentionally dulled them and used them for shooting 3D targets. Then, one day an idea popped into my mind and I put one into my sharpener bevel down. I then made two light passes on the back side of the bevel. Usually I check for sharpness with a rubber band, but knowing that this broadhead had been dulled I simply ran read more my finger along the edge. That was a BIG mistake! It cut my finger. Amazing!

Best Broadhead I have ever used

I have been shooting archery for over 10 years now. This by far is the best broadhead I've used. Blew right through this hog at 15 yards. Entry was far back in the guts and exit was out the front ribs. (Quartering away) Clean passthrough and got lodged in the dirt, cleaned up nice and sharpened back up super easy.

My Go To Broadheads!

These are Outstanding Broadheads! They have the deadly 3:1 ratio : Long ,lean, and, mean ! They're are very tough and a bit challenging to sharpen but, I found that a good flat file gets the job done!

2 of the 6 broadheads were ground wrong, contacted grizzly, explained problem, no argument, shipped to new ones. Very pleasant experience and very very fast shipping. Replaced the defective heads with new ones. Thanks.

Not a bad head, just not what I was expecting

I really liked these heads in the beginning. It was excellent at penetrating my broadhead target as I was gearing up for hunting season. It also flew extremely straight for me during my 3-D broadhead league. Sadly though, I ended up hitting a tree with it and bend the tip slightly. Once the tip was bent, consistent arrow flight was horrible. I tried to straighten it back up, but read more the tip snapped off. The metal was more brittle then I would have guessed. From there it seemed like all my accuracy was gone, even when I reshaped the tip. Overall they are not bad broadheads but they don't seem as tough or rugged as my Zwickey Deltas. It could all be user error but I know I have never had an issue with my Deltas. Especially when it comes to straightening and arrow flight.

Great features for the price

I have taken many animals with these heads. The penetration is amazing. In my experience you won't find a better single bevel broadhead for the price. Fantastic features, easy to sharpen and get crazy sharp.

Strong, silent & accurate

+JMJ. When I paired the 125 grain Grizzly with a 125 grain steel adapter, I got a heavy broadhead that flies true - just like my field tips. I am looking forward to using these for deer and hogs this season. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I have not tried it on game yet. God bless!!!

Poor craftsmanship

I have killed 4 deer, a bear, and Russian boar with these heads in the past. Bought a new package of 130gn recently. The new heads were brazed together misaligned. This causes the heads to not seat properly on the arrow or broad head adapter. Heads rock back and forth on the 5deg taper making strait arrow flight very difficult or impossible to achieve. Sent them back to 3 rivers read more for exchange with a different brand single bevel glue on head. Very disappointed with Grizzly at this time. A devastating broad head means nothing if it cannot fly strait and true. Check the fit before hot gluing on!

PENETRATION!!!

I used the 125 gr. with a 34 gr (long) aluminium screw-in insert on an Easton 500 carbon arrow. I was shooting a Samick Verna 55lb longbow. I shot this spike at about 10yds. The broadhead impacted the edge of the deer's right shoulder blade, and splintered the bone, then the rib lengthways shearing the rib bone, and allowing the arrow to penetrate w/ no shaft drag. It passed read more through the vitals (heart & lungs), exited through the thick portion of the deers sternum, and sliced through the off side leg muscle. The single bevel definately sported its signature "S" shape cut throughout the wound channel. My hunting partners said that it looked like a rifle was used. The cuts were not large, but made significantly more damage than any double bevel I've ever used. The deer ran (miraculously to me) about 50 yds, and crashed dead, with a blood trail that Ray Charles could have followed. The guys at the camp were marveling when I took the broadhead that just busted through bone, and tissue, and a piece of paper, and began shaving thin strips off like braggadocious confetti.

I would buy this product again

Just a great hunting broadhead. I shoot my own handmade stick bows and have great confidence in the simplicity of these. Nothing to go wrong mechanically, fly straight and true, and are great bone choppers. Sharpen well with a shaving sharp edge.
