Best combo stumping/small game head out there!
Whether I'm elk hunting or just out shooting stumps, I always have a hex head or two in my quiver. They stop arrows from snaking under grass and hit hard when hunting small game. Plus they're narrow enough to get them through the brush where rabbits and grouse often hide.
Will buy again and again.
These heads are brilliant. Great weight, easy to attach, and hard hitting.
Great product
I have used barta bunny busters for years, love them, still do. I decided to give these a try and I have found a new favorite. I have taken all kinds of high risk stump shots and have not been able to break or lose an arrow, and I really don't like losing arrows.LOL The stem is long enough that you will not break off the end of your wood arrows, Great design. These blunts are just… read more awesome. Period.
Great blunt tips
Great for stump shooting, just don't use them on a target. They will penetrate a regular target, but if you hit another arrow shaft with one of these, it will severely gouge or snap said arrow in half! I ruined/broke three arrows this way but didn't realize till I approached the target.

Good Product. Consistant in weight. Would like the head diameter to be a little larger. Heavy weighted bows cause arrows to go a little deep in the grass when hunting rabbits. Dropped to my 35# bow and arrows were a lot easier to find.
I would buy them again and again
I have went stump shooting many times with these heads and not a single problem yet, havent had a chance to shoot any wabbits yet but I'm sure they will do just fine when I get the chance.
Bunny "Smack-Down"
I love these things! They are the best stump shooting head available. Don't bury under leaves. Are easily removed from stumps and, they don't skip through the woods like normal blunts or even Judos. Best rabbit head I have ever used.
Making 250 and 300 grain heads
I purchased these glue-on heads to place on 125 grain adaptors to make 250 and 300 grain heads. I am impressed with them as a small game and stump shooting head. They don't seem to stop as fast as a "Judo", but seem to be more durable. I would rate them at 5 stars if they made a 250 and 300 grain screw-on head. Service from 3Rivers was OUTSTANDING as usual.
Should do the trick
These look as though they should work well on small game. They shoot very well and don't seem to bury under grass, much like a judo point. They are easier to get into and out of my back quiver than judos. Haven't had a chance to try them on game yet though.
Super Value Exceptional Quality
Accurate tapers, install easily, spin true, deliver a devasting punch to your target!
They are designed for 11/32 or 23/64 diameter shafts.
I use on 11/32. Should work on larger shafts. Will no work on smaller.. 11/31 is pretty much the standard wood arrow shaft diameter until you get into the real heavy weights.
I think they are for 11/32", but I use them on 5/16" shafts. Rich
I have found that the Hammers have more pronounced corners and tend to catch brush better; they perform a little more like Judos than the Hexes do. Both of them will do a number on small game though.
Hex heads all the way. THe hammers are a lot smaller in real life than they are in the pictures you see. THe hex heads are more concave too, which seems to make them stop better. THe rounder design on the hex heads means that more of the points edge is in contact with anything it tries to skip off of.
I would go with the 145 then it wont drop as quick. You can use led shot inside a glue on, and brass washers on a screw in to make it 160 grain. I personally would not worrie about 15 grains.
It depends on where the spine of the arrows is in relation to the bow you are shooting. If you are on the upper end of the spine range by adding 15grs it won't matter. You will still be within that spine range. But if you are on the low end or on the border of that spine range by adding 15grs it may make your shafts slightly weak for your bow.
They will effect your low-high to some degree, how much depends alot on your arrow weight before adding a blunt. But i do believe the change would be minimal. Sorry i couldn't give a more concise answer, but a 15gr addition may effect my arrows different than they do yours. Hope this helps.
You will want to get the same weight that you normally use on your arrows. Using more or less weight could effect the flight of the arrow.
I suggest using the same weight as you use for hunting deer, or at least as close as you can get. On small game increased weight is not required, but accuracy is and the practice is the best there is for hunting larger game.
Use the same weight that you have your arrows tuned for. They should fly the same as field points and broadheads if your arrows are tuned right. All points weigh the same.
That will depend on the spine of your shafts. Adding weight up front means you will need stiffer spined shafts. If you add weight to the front you will improve your front of center (FOC) which can make for better flight, but it is mainly for improved penetration, which is not necessarily what you want in a blunt. I try to keep my blunts as close to my broadhead weight as possible.
The Ace Hex Blunts are a 11/32" diameter, but will fit on smaller and larger wood shafting.
As of right now we will not be picking up the 160 grain glue on.
The Ace Hex Blunt will work for the set up you are looking for, as they should not bury in the ground if you miss, but the broadheads will have a larger cutting diameter to cause damage. I would check local game laws to see if they have any requirements on what heads to use, but either would work fine.
These heads will work great on pheasants and other small game. These are much better than broadheads especially when dogs are involved in your hunt. Good luck!
The Ace Hex blunts are sold by the 6 pack.
