Perfect for stump shooting
Great stumping head
Great head. Tougher than judos and more economical. Hard to lose. Lots of weights to match broadhead set up. I highly recommend.
Hex blunts do the trick
These heads are great for stump shooting and small game. Reasonably priced, tough and shoot well from all my bows.
Great blunt.
Great for stumping '
So far, so good
these fly just like my field points, no adjustments needed. So far I have only been able to use these for targets and stumping, that's why the 4 star rating. I expect these blunts to perform well on small game this fall
Does the job!
Perfect for my small game needs and stump shooting!
Nice blunt at a great price
I like these a lot, and they are great for bale/stump shooting. They don't do a lot to prevent the arrows from burrowing into the sod, but they do make my back drop far more effective at stopping arrows. I shoot them out of a 58# recurve at 145 grains. They are well-constructed, and great for the price.
Awesome product
I got these for the express purpose of hunting squirrels and rabbits. I wanted a tip that wouldn't easily slide under leaf litter and grass and also would be less likely to stick into a tree or limb when shooting at squirrels. The idea was to increase my arrow recovery percentage. Well, these hex heads are perfect. Coupled with a Flu Flu they are pretty hard to lose track of. What… read more I really love about them is that they hit hard. Also, I've put mine through tons of shots into the ground from my elevated deck, and i've also banged stumps, frozen ground, and nice healthy hardwood, and they don't have a ding on them. Look just like new still. Not sure if you'd know it or not, but these points are very sharp around the outer edge. They are essentially tiny cookie cutters, only much sharper. Even after all the shooting i've done with them to date, the edges haven't even starting to peen over. They're still plenty sharp. While not quite as adept at staying on top of the grass as a judo point would be, the trade up (in my opinion) is that they hit harder and fly just as straight as my field points do. Also, several arrows with these points on them will still slip into your average back or hip quiver with ease. Some types of points limit the number of arrows you can carry. Pick up a couple. You'll love them...
Great Blunts!
Took these out and had a blast shooting frozen cow pies! I can't wait to see how they work on gophers when they get out.
Great for stump shootin'
Now a judo point may be a little better at not snaking into the grass but these hex heads seem to hit harder and they really fly true. Not to mention that they come in different weights so you can match up your field points, broadheads, and blunts to all be the same. I haven't hunted any small game with them yet (I hope to soon) but they put some devestating hits downrange on… read more the targets (stumps and otherwise) I've been shooting. I'm pretty certain that they will demolish any rabbits or squirrels I'm lucky enough (er...I mean supremely skilled enough) to smack with them. Looking forward to seeing how that goes.
I would recommend the Carbon Collars and Nock Collars. Items 4920X and 4921X.
It is 3\/8 of an inch wide.
The tips I have are 0.375" Hex. Hopefully that helps.
It is 3/8 of an inch wide.
Depends on your arrows and how heavy of a field point you use. If they weigh the same as the points that you normally use then you will not have a problem.
Hi Matt, I destroy foxes with these blunts and shoot a 41# recurve
Yes, As long as they are consistent with your arrow and tip weights.
The Ace Hex and Hammer Small game Heads work great with dogs. You might want to take a file and dull them up a little as a precaution.
