Full length Arrows don't fit
Too short. There are some of us who shoot full length arrows. This quiver had to be taken apart and "cheated" to make function and still too much pressure on arrows. The little tab that holds the camo sleeve up immediately pulled out as well. Very disappointed in a quiver I have was excited to get!
Nice design, poor quality
Received my mini today, and spent a few minutes TRYING to set it up. Overall, this could be much better quality for the price. it is basically two plastic cups fastened together with a thin strip of aluminum, and covered in a very thin fleece material. I understand that it is designed to be light, and in that it excels. Although it is adjustable, it is BARELY long enough to accomodate… read more my hunting arrows (31"), and in order to make that work, I had to remove one of the adjustment screws. One of the fittings has already torn loose of the fabric, requiring a jury rig to make it work. I fletch my hunting arrows with large shield cut feathers, and it only hold 3 of those arrows without raising concern about damaging feathers. I will keep this quiver, but I will use it only until I can build a much better one. I would expect this level of quality at half the price.
Great product
Comfortable, stays outa way, very easy access to arrows
Water & Bulletproof
I bought one twelve years ago. I don't remember if I purchased it from 3rivers or not, but it's still going strong. If you don't like a quiver on your bow, this is the one. I use velcro straps to secure it to my bow on the way in & out. I also strap it to the tree when hunting from tree stands. Very versatile.
Sweet Quiver
Love this thing so far. I was a little concerned about the sling attachment loops. Heard they have been breaking. Mine hasn't yet, knock on wood. I had to cover my fletching with a fleece cover with my last quiver and it made too much noise when retrieving an arrow. I don't cover my feathers because I'm worried about game seeing them, but just for moisture protection. This… read more one is silent if your feathers aren't touching in the quiver hood and keeps your feathers dry for the most part. I have not had the chance to use it in a downpour yet. It took me some time to build some booster pads for a judo and a rubber blunt. Figured if guys like Nathan Andersen uses this quiver it must be for a reason.
I would buy this product again
Vary pleased with quiver. i was worried about getting at arrows when on back, but is easy to do. If I had to say anything negative, would be number of arrows it holds, not really a problem for me i only carry 3 arrows, but i could see it would be vary tight to fit more then 5 arrows.
Questionable functionality
I have been on a multi-year quest to find a really functional hunting quiver. I been thru quivers that are attached to my hip and to my bow and found both styles lacking, for various reasons. There is very little blind or stand hunting in Alaska so I require a quiver that does not interfere with stalking of game. This obviously means being quiet and out of the way while moving… read more thru brush. Both the hip quiver and attached bow quivers fail in this important respect, primarily in the being "out of the way" aspect. They both catch on brush and impede quiet movement and stalking of game. The answer seemed to lie in getting my quiver behind me, in some fashion. The Catquiver seemed to address that requirement. On arrival of the mini Catquiver I realized that I may have not purchased the most appropriate product from their line. The Mini Catquiver simply drapes over a shoulder and has no waist attachment point to secure it in place while arrows are removed or replaced. This makes the use of both hands necessary. Secondly, the retention of arrows in the quiver relies on the pressure that comes from the springiness of the foam rubber in the fletch end of the quiver pushing downward on the shafts. The foam is immediately backed up only by fabric and I question the longevity of this, without some hard backing to push into. All this being said, I have only used the quiver in pre-season practice and will not have it in the field until next week and will then have a full picture of its functionality.
Mini Cat Quiver
I purchased the quiver a few years ago. Right from the start I had a problem - I shoot full length, non cut arrows, the quiver wouldnt accept them. I had to lengthen the stem by a good two inches at least. I also use the Woodsman broad-heads so length of my arrows is an issue with this quiver. My modification though put things to right and I do like the quiver. I use a butt pack… read more and this quiver is not bad in that regard. The attachment points for the straps are not real tough - I had to re-sew one, be warned.
I like it but...
I purchased this quiver for use with a day pack. It fits the bill perfectly. However in using the quiver for turkey hunting I used the over the shoulder strap as it is easier to take it off in the blinds. Within two trips to the blind the top loop (used to attached the shoulder strap) pulled out. I do not believe sewing nylon loops in cloth will stand up to hunting abuse. I… read more suspect I will need to drill some holes and add leather thongs for strength and resiliency.
Mini- Catquiver
I was somewhat disappointed that an american made product would be defective upon receipt. Although it wasn't much, the small rope loop holding the hood cover to the product stem was not sewn in properly and immediately came undone. I wrote Rancho Safari and never got the benefit of a reply. I would not deal with this company again. A company that doesn't care about customer satisfaction… read more is not worth dealing with. I also noticed another small tear in this new product's fabric. Returning the product would be too expensive and therefore I will keep it. But...I certainly wouldn't buy it again.
It would have to be modified but I cannot recommend doing that.
Yes it can
Easily, totally adjustable.
This quiver will not adjust that long.
It works very well with fletched arrows.
Yes a 31.5'' shaft will fit in that quiver. I sure you can make that quiver fit on a Bad Lands pack.
Yes Sent from my iPhone
I believe you can. The Mini Catquiver adjusts for arrow length and the over the shoulder, sling arrangement, of the quiver, would accommodate your day pack. Good Luck, Dave
The foam is used to keep the arrow in place and the hood keeps the arrow from moving around. There is not too much pressure that would cause the arrow to warp.
Yes, you can wear a backpack or other gear with the Mini-Catquiver. That is what the Catquiver 7 is: http://www.3riversarchery.com/product.asp?i=401810

This quiver weighs 1.3 pounds with out any arrows.
Yes, it should cover the entire fletching up unless you move your feathers farther forward than normal.
