stabilizes the quiver very well. Still have to push up the bottom with my left hand to reach an arrow, but not as much. Good product.

I bought this to help keep my quiver from making a lot of noise when sneaking around. It works and it help the quiver to cling on my back comfortable. Thy only thing that is wrong is the shiny brass parts that comes with the strap, you may want to dull them up if you are a hunter. Other than that this strap works and it gives you that traditional look on your quiver.
Absolute necessity for trad back quivers

I feel this accessory is an absolute must if you're using a trad quiver. With this to tighten the quiver against your body, you're not chasing arrows all over when you try to draw from the quiver. Only minor gripe is the use of a post buckle for the adjustment strap. While this may be period-accurate, it's troublesome to adjust the chest strap when adjusting from wearing a jacket… read more to going to a tee-shirt. Otherwise, I wouldn't be without one of these with any back quiver.

As for where to exactly install it, you can adjust it on your body when you are putting it on the quiver so it fits you perfectly.
