Used since ancient times by the Huns and other eastern tribes, the whistling arrow was an important tool of communication during battle. Now you can own a piece of the ancient past with these modern equivalents of that time-honored tool! These Whistling Points are a great novelty item. Although not suitable for hunting, they're great for medieval reenactments and SCA archery events. ...read more

Fun!!! Kids love them!
These are just fun. They're obviously not for hunting, and I would recommend only shooting into material that does not come apart in small bits (as it will clog the point/whistle). However, the designer had that in mind as you can unscrew the tip to clean it out (so cleaning would only slow you down a bit). They are a bit heavy, and provide great penetration, but are surprisingly… read more accurate. The whistle gives you the sensaction of a rocket or bomb whizzing through the air before impact. Just wish they were a bit cheaper and I'd have a quiver full!
Fun, I bought 2 more!
The wife loves these things, so I bought more. She requests additional tunes, so if you ever make them in different pitches, please let me know.
...and then the line fell apart...
I got one first, my kids loved it. Built one for my son, to use at CLOUT competition. The line was super serious, and then he cut this loose, along with 50 other kids launching simultaneously. Everyone laughed, whooped, and holler'd, and it was a great day. I'd bet a bunch more got sold after that...
Cool whistling
great to impress fellow archers esp children. Can hear the whistling as the arrow ascends and descends. with the easy screw off tip you can clean out the whistle but need to bring a very small cleaning brush ie pipe cleaning brush to remove dirt and debris.
Having fun with them
it's a head turner quieted everyone in the house and it sound great.
Lots of fun!
I was very entertained by another archer's Mongolian whistling arrow and went out to find a way I could get something similar. These were perfect. They aren't too loud, but my boyfriend is amused by my giggling whenever I use them. I plan to buy more even though they are a bit pricey.
Fun little point...
This is a really fun little point. I have a 45# long bow and this thing whistles across my yard every time. It's fun and my son loves it. It's heavier than my 125 gr target points which requires a little bit of aiming adjustment. Very easy to install. Try it, it's a novel attachment for the recreational archer.
Just fun to use
I use the whistling point for the fun of it and to show off a bit
Works great
I shoot this at every competition for fun and the compound shooters love it to.the things you can do with a stick and string!
Whistling Point
Works as designed
The screw in point is 2 pieces.
We do not carry that size any longer.
The universal is for any aluminum or carbon arrow.
If you are purchasing the screw in points you have to select the universal option, which means that it will adapt to fit most modern arrows. I bought a glue-on point for my wood arrow and really enjoy them. It is fun to hear them whistle and they fly well.
Yes, all of the screw in components, besides those designated as Deep Six, are universal. You will be able to use them with any of the inserts that you currently have.
yes
Yes, you can use whistling points for target shooting. It may tear up your foam targets a little quicker then a field point. They are primarily used for ariel shooting.
They really aren't suitable for normal target practice, unless you are shooting into particularly soft targets (shot-up 3-D targets, old hay bales, etc...)
It would not stick well into 3D for me, but I doubt it was designed for that.
i use them ONLY on dirt bunkers
These are sold by the each.
one
I weighed once of each Whistling point size and all came in roughly 260 grains each.
200
I weighed one of the 5/16" glue on points at 250 grains (complete). The section which glues onto the shaft weighed 125 grains.
