Zwickey Eskilite 2-Blade Screw-In Broadheads 3-pack Reviews

They're perfect, once you get them sharpened up!

I see a lot of reviews about lack of consistency in the weight of these. What I found out, was the by the time you get them really, really, really, sharp, and chisel the tip...They will be about 125grains. (its nice that they give you some extra metal to learn how to get these sharp). For me the, that's perfect. Simple, No BS broadhead. It allows me the time to focus on hunting, read more not silly "this broadhead or that broadhead" games. Tried and true, ready for the hunt. To stop the edges from rusting, I color them with a Sharpie (a tip I heard Flip Pallot share on a podcast). Thanks Flip!

economical broadhead , takes a keen edge , flies quiet in flight . only complaint was their weight , were 145 to 150 grains .

These are plain, simple and we'll design. They fly straight, they are durable and they're easy to sharpen with a file, also easy to resharpen. I get great penetration and at the price point I wouldn't buy anything else for better penetration. Love this product and I will purchase it again. I shoot 135 grain zwicky Escalight.

Beautiful simplicity

These are exactly what I was looking for, and they are decently priced! You may not be able to shave with them, however mine came with a decent edge and I do not believe it will take much to make it paper cutting sharp. If I was better at sharpening I could make it hair popping sharp.

Classic Broadhead

This broadhead has stood the test of time. Two blade, unbreakable construction. Easy to sharpen. You'll have these forever.

Weight of Eskilite Broadhead is not as advertised

Zwickey Broadheads are great. They are tough and durable. My only complaint is the weight is not consistant. The Eskilites I received were suppose to weigh 135 grains. They weighed between 147 and 150 grains. This is not acceptable. I shoot traditional and compound and have been a bowhunter for 50 years. This is a very simple fix for Zwickey.

I decided on the 135,s , arrows are high plain hunters (500spine at 30" 5 " feathers ) I shoot a 50# bear Montana (sweet shooting bow) and at 10 to 30 yards Swickey eskilite broadheads fly really true did not have to fiddle with any tuning issues I will purchase more swickeys

My new favorite!

I used to use the Eskimo but they were so heavy my consistency was not perfect.. So I gave the Eskilite a try, they are much closer to the weight of my target tips and so far I have not missed The rabbits that eat my wives flowers! Give them a try they're great

How do I choose from Eskilite and Eskimo? As for using on Easton XX75 Legacy 2018 Shaft, and shooting a 50# Bow. How good is it on windage yaw avoidance? And Eskilite is equal to 125gr Field Point, while Eskilite is equal to 145gr Field Point, right?

They should be fine if you don't have a really long arrow, if the shaft is more than 30 inches from nock valley to back of insert, it may lower the spine of that arrow. But anything 30 inches and under and they'll fly just fine. Good luck!

I shoot a 50 lb Bear Kodiak Hunter recurve with 2117's and the Zwickey Eskilites work well for me. Tune your equipment with field points that weigh as close as possible to the broadhead weigh, put a good edge on the Zwickey's with a file and you should do well. SteveSheldon, IA

These Zwickeys weigh 135 grains and probably the closest to the one you have. I don't believe Zwickey ever made a 145 gr. broadhead.

You can order the 135 grain Eskilite and add two of the 5 grain 7 years ago

You can order the 135 grain Eskilite and add two of the 5 grain brass weight washers between the broad head and the insert.  I bought a pack of 100 brass weight washers from 3 Rivers several years ago.  They turned out to be the handiest things ever.....especially when tuning up a new bow.  Good luck to you! Dear Pat, I did not take the time to research all  weights ever 7 years ago

Dear Pat, I did not take the time to research all  weights ever offered by Zwickey. However, I have shot their screw-on and glue on heads for years. Others as well. I think they are the best value on the market today for those that still know how to,  1. Tune bows, and  2. Sharpen blades!!  Ok, my rant is over, and please take no offense, my intention is to teach. A well tuned bow can shoot correctly "spined" arrows to same point of impact with point weights varied by many grains of weight.         (sometimes) I think correct arrow "spine" is most important! The "point" is, tuning is more important than point weight. Sharpening any fixed blade head shaves off weight, therefore the weight is always changing! I buy 135gr. Zwickey Eskilites and 145 field points from Three Rivers. I shoot them to same point of impact I think, due to tuning, but perhaps also different aerodynamics making up for the difference in weight. Shoot straight, Rummy! Sent from my iPhone Sent from my iPhone Sent from my iPhone
