Absolute Killers

Bought the 160 grain screw ins. I shoot them on a black eagle spartan 200 spine arrow out of a 65# diamond deploy compound bow @29 inch draw. When I was building my arrows for hunting I was trying to get a heavy hitting arrow and Zwickey had just what I needed. They fly accurate and hit hard. I Harvested an antelope and an elk and it went clean through both of them at 40 yards read more each. Love them and will be using them again this year. My only struggle is I am not great at sharpening them. I tried these 160's 225 and 250 grains and the 160 were the best flying for my bow set up.

Not 160g as advertised

Have read great things about Zwickey broadheads. With that said I ordered the Eskimo's because they were the only head Zwickey offer's that's the closest to 150g. Upon receiving these I opened the package to weigh them. One head weighed 181g & two weighed 183g, Not too happy about that. I'm gonna order the Eskilite's in hopes they will be around 150g since they are obviously higher read more in weight than advertised.

The sun truly does not set on a Zwickey

I just shot my first deer with an Eskimo broadhead, at approximately 25 yards. I'm using a 55# recurve this year (my first bow season), and the arrow instantly came out the other side of the deer. This broadhead performed flawlessly, and the deer only made a 50 yard dash before expiring. I'm completely sold!

Perfect broadhead for my recurve.

Hi Harold, I have not shot these out of a 45# bow only out of a 55#. I would say if you have your everyting tuned they should fly great. I had my arrows tuned with field points and when i started shooting these broad heads they were right on. I really like the flight and penetration of this head. Hope this helps,Fred

Is my scale wrong? These weigh 175grains, not 160. This has been true in the 2 packs of these that I've ordered.

Generally 10 grains wont affect arrow flight but we do have 5 grain washers if you wanted to try it before buying the heads.

I use both broadheads and have them in my quiver at the same time. I can't tell a difference in the flight of either ?

Nate   There will be a very small change in the trajectory with 3 years ago

Nate   There will be a very small change in the trajectory with the heavier broadhead obviously dropping a little more. If you are using the same arrow and your equipment is in tune I don't believe 10 grains would be enough difference in weight where you would have to go to a stiffer arrow. Chad

If you are worried 3 rivers sells washers that go between the broadhead and the insert. I think they are 5 grains apiece. Use 3 with the 125 and you will see If your arrow is stiff enough to shoot it. You might need to adjust your brace hight but not by much.

I just place the blade on the stone and feel for the angle. I noticed that after sharpening the over lays on the tips are ground to that angle ( the green paint is removed some on the edge of the overlays) I will guess around 15 degrees
