I have a recurve that measures 62", what length string should I purchase? The bow is a Fred Pearson Pinto Recurve. The info on the side is as follows , CAT 972 , Length 5'6" , Ser. X E-1845, weight @28" 30xx. Any help will be appreciated. Thank-you, Steve

For an older bow I would use a Dacron string material, not this high performance low-stretch material. For length, go 4" less than bow length for a recurve. So a 56" string length.

I have the Samick Sage Takedown bow. It is 62". Can I use this string and if so what size would I order?

For recurve bows it is recommended to go 4" less than the bow le 3 years ago

For recurve bows it is recommended to go 4" less than the bow length. So a 58" string should be the best fit, and you can twist it from there to adjust your brace height. The Sage has reinforced tips, so it is rated to handle high performance string material.
