I serve my recurve bow strings. The server is simple to load and works very well. You can reserve your bowstring in minutes. No complaints. A well made product. I viewed a serving technique on u tube then proceeded to serve string. I reserved a bow string on my Browning Safari II. Installed a new nocking pt an shot a Easton GG 2018 with 135 grain Zwickey. Shot quick an accurate read more I plan to hunt whitetail deer this Saturday.

I have 2 servers. This one is made much nicer than my other one. Strong with no flex in frame. Tension is a bit tricky to get set but once you hit the zone, it puts a nice tight serving down fairly fast. I'm new to string making and this has some bells and whistles the cheaper ones just don't. No snagging or tearing the thread. My very first string seemed easy and is working read more like a charm on a recurve currently. I would say a great one for a new string maker.

I used this to string my first bow. I'm new to all this and I was able to take this tool, watch a youtube video and serve away. Very nice tool to have for future serving of my strings.

How can the AAE Pro String Server be properly tensioned? As I'm currently using it, the tension gets very tight, then suddenly lets off and is slightly too loose for about one revolution of the string, then it begins to tighten again. If I tighten th

First check your serving spool where the shaft enters it and clean all the end paper out and make sure it is smooth where the washer contacts the spool on the ends. You may also try not weaving the serving over both bars that may smooth it out. I have used it both ways and I have no problems using this server.

Same problem here. The AAE gets tight and then suddenly loosens. I have a Beiter and a couple of Bearpaw string servers, and neither of them have this problem. The AAE refuses to maintain an even tension. It starts out OK, then cranks up tight for a while, and then pops loose.

Hi there, I don’t work for three rivers, and I really have no way to fully understand your problem without actually having your server in my hand. You seem mechanical as you have built your own server, just thinking, your problem seems to me to be one of mis-alignment or something inhibiting free movement, are there any tags on the spool? is there anywhere where the movement might be inhibited? I apparently got lucky, mine works perfectly, I doubt that you have strung the thing incorrectly, especially as the correct stringing is so apparent in the photograph that accompanied your email. Hello, I am curious about this tool, but unsure as to which serving thread to use. The material matters less to me than the spool size, since I won't be able to use the tool without the correct spool. Among the available serving threads, which ones are

Any serving thread or serving spool will be compatible with this 12 years ago

Any serving thread or serving spool will be compatible with this jig. From what you have described that you need for your application I would recommend the BCY Halo Serving item number 8626X. This is strong and holds it roundness well. Unfortunately we do not offer empty spools for serving tools.
