This longbow blank makes it easy to start building your own longbow. The bow is already floor-tillered. All you need to do is sand the edges, install the bow tips, and do the final tiller. You'll also need to shape the grip and sight window to your preference of right or left handed and your desired feel. The blank is marked so you know just where to cut for making a right or left handed shelf (please note, the bow cannot be dual shelf.) Can be cut to center or positive. It is recommended that you put on a finish when done.

When you are finished you will have a quality longbow made from Gordon's black fiberglass, three laminations of tapered action bamboo core, and American walnut riser with maple accents. The bow is 66" profiled and tillered to weight. It can be cut down to 64" and you increase weight by 5 lbs.

Requires the following tools: Super Glue (for gluing on the bow tips), Round Rasp, Half-Round Rasp, Flat File, Nock Groove File, Square, and Pencil. See 3Rivers Archery's Bow Building Tool Kit.

We recommend Phenolic Bow Tip Overlays, a Tillering Rope, a grip, and a bow string (once final length is known) to complete your bow.
