The best analog spine tester on the market.
Originally purchased a lesser expensive product, which ended up returning as the design was horrible. Upgraded to this spine tester and have been very happy using it. Easy to put together, use, and is very accurate in its readings. Only downside is how expensive it is. I mounted it to a pine board and keep it handy for when I'm either matching the spine for arrows I'm building or… read more when I want to compare the spine of any arrow I'm getting good flight out of.

Worth the Asking Price ...
Without question this is an excellent item for any serious archer. It is a manditory fine tool for the person wishing to make their own arrows. VERY High Quality construction and quite easy to set up and use. Recommended, for sure.
Great tool
Was a little worried that I was buying the right one, as I had never used a spine tester before. Now I know I did the right thing. At three rivers Shawn gave a quick how to lession, and assured me I was buying a good tool. When I got it home I read the instructions, then called Ace to make sure I understood everything. Bob at Ace Archery really made me feel comfortable with operating… read more it, and checking the calibration. Some time later I dropped it and bent a part on the tester. Once again I called Ace Archery, and once again they proved to be more that helpful. They sent me the repair parts out, and made sure I understood how to get it back going again. Thank you Ace and Three Rivers for such fine products and service. I would give it five stars if I could.
Yes it does.
Yes
Yes it sure will.
I'm using this primarily for spine testing and not spinning, as I am making my arrows from rivercane I cut in SC. I bought this model, as I wanted a table top unit. I honestly wish I'd gone with the one that hangs on the wall. That said, I'm sure it would work just fine with tapered shaft arrows.
It does not come assembled.
This spine tester is a good model to choose. It allows you to check wood, aluminum, and carbon shafts. Most spine testers do not check all three types of arrow materials. It also allows you to check the straightness of your arrows by spin testing them.
