Great starting bow/ first long bow
I have been using this as my go-to bow since I started archery. I love this bow and think it's well worth the price for someone getting into archery.
It was all i could want and more.excellant product.
i have a long reach and this bow fits my needs to a tea.
Excellent looks, quality, and shooting performance.
I bought a left-handed version for myself in 2020 for still and ground blind hunting for NC whitetails. This is one of the only longbows that accepts a fast flight string, which I bought. I'm going to order a right handed one as a training/hunting bow for my adult sons now in 2021.
Yes
Easy draw very accurate with different arrows
Great longbow
Use the bow for target 3D and hunting. Bow is quiet and well made. Looked better than pic on site. First longbow in over 30+ years for switching from compound to longbow again, would recommend for anyone switching to start with. Bow shoots wood and FMJs well!
Best you can get for the price
I bought this bow having never used a longbow before and using only recurve. This bow changed my mind. I love this bow more than any recurve I have ever shot even though I've had the opportunity to shoot some pretty expensive ones. I'm a beginner to longbow but not a beginner to archery at all. I'm a hunter and will b taking this bow with me on the next upcoming season rather than… read more my recurve.
I would recommend this bow
I have been shooting archery for over 40 years. When I saw this on 3 Rivers for $200 I thought I would give it a try although the ad on the website unenthusiasticly disparaged the bow as one suitable for beginners. Since it arrived it has consistently been my go-to bow and I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting it. It has been so good as to cause me to wonder about 3 Rivers attitude… read more toward the bow.
I Would Recommend to F&Fs
This is my first long bow. I made a good choice when I bought it. I will be back for my next bow.
For Aluminum, arrow length at least 32" with 145gr point you can use a 2016. If you go up to 160gp you can use 2016/2018 and if you go up to 190gp you can use 2016/2018/2217 and 2213. For Wood, arrow length at least 32" with 145gp your spine should be 50-55, 160gp it would be 55-60 and 190gp 60-65
Going from compound to traditional, I have seen a draw length drop from 1 to 1.5" roughly. But, normally you get 2 to 3 pounds of pull for every inch. So it would be in the area of 57# at the length. I would get your draw length measured though. That would be a draw for a traditional bow, but you are looking at the right length of 68" for a bow length. You may want to consider a takedown bow though. Something with a longer riser (say 21") to make it less stressing on the limbs at a longer draw like that.
I'm afraid I do not have a dependable date I can share. We have orders from April we are waiting to be fulfilled still.
Depending on your draw length it could be a 400 or 500 spine carbon arrow.
We should be getting them in any time. International shipping has been very slow lately.
You will meed a 65" string .
No , you need a 65" string for that bow .
The Apache bow does not come with a bow stringer. We recommend in item number 5037 the limbs ave longbow stringer.
With the Apache being a 68 inch bow you will be able to draw this past 30 inches. Your will gain 2.5 to 3 pounds for every inch past 28 inches.
Longbows are generally easier to draw and shoot versus a recurve.
