Awesome again
Excellent string!
Too much stretch
Bought this for a Wing slim line 58", 50# bow. I thought it odd that the string had no twists in it for 12" on either end of the serving so I twisted it 12 times before stringing. The brace height was at 9". As I was installing the nock set I thought I could see it stretch. I checked ot and the brace was now 8 7/8". By the time I got the silencers on it was 8 1/2". I shot about… read more 30 arrows and it was at 7 1/4". Twisted it 15 times to get it to 8 1/2, shot another 20 arrows and ot was down to 8". I don't find this acceptable. On the plus side it is quieter than the B50 that was on the bow. As for durability, only time will tell.
Will buy again
been using the string for about 2 month know shoot every other day has held up good, use it on 60" 47# reflex deflex long bow. the bow was already quite but know you can barely hear it, plan to buy another and one for my recurve also,
Great bow strings
Great place to shop for your supplies
Very quiet
Bought this string to hopefully make my bow quieter, love my Black widow PLX but have always thought it was loud. This string makes it very quiet, have not chronographed it to see if it lost any arrow speed compared to the D97 string. It really doesn't matter to me as it shoots the same and I am well pleased with the reduction in noise. My only complaint is they don't after it in… read more 14 strand, I fixed that by cutting 2 strands out and re serving the string. I will be ordering more.
Switched to this string and been hitting the dot easier
Very good string, been hitting my target alot easier since I switched to this one
Good looking string
String looks great on my Bear Montana and broke in very quick. After leaving my bow strung overnight there has been no further stretching. Great product!
Measure it first.
I bought this string for a Bear Kodiak Special 68" recurve bow that I recently won on e-bay. I ordered a 64" string following the advice of 3 Rivers. Since I didn't measure the string upon arrival I can't tell you if it came too long but it is, too long that is. I have yet to be able to wind it tight enough to reach my desired brace height of 7-7.5". I have a Martin Savannah long… read more bow with the same string and it has been fantastic.
HOLY MOLY !
HOLY MOLY !!! I have a Hoyt Gamemaster recurve. It was the loudest but fastest recurve I own...I've had it for 10 years and tried everything to quiet this bow.....EVERYTHING.....Nothing worked and I figured It would just have to be loud......till today...15 mins ago actually.....This B-55 made this firecracker of a bow...whisper silent...a letter falling to the floor is louder.… read more I was worried about point of impact....its exactly the same at all my ranges..... I am tickled to death with this string...I can't say how long it will last...I don't care...I'll buy 50 strings to have my bow shoot this quiet and accurately..... No more fast flight strings for me...... Awesome.
Good for the money
I bought two of these, one for a 40 pound recurve and one for a 45 pound longbow. The string for the recurve had minimal stretch and has worked very well. The string for the longbow had a lot of stretch (which is expected with these kind of strings), more than others. The recurve string was almost too short. The longbow string was almost too long, requiring the max twists to reach… read more brace height. After shoot-in, they work well. These would be good for someone on a budget that needs a string fit for 3D or hunting. If you can spend more for a better string, I would advise doing so.
Bear Kodiak Hunter is a 60" bow it will take a 56" string.
No, you would not want to try to stretch that far (though you could go an inch shorter and be alright). Here is a string offered in the length you need in just a different color: https://www.3riversarchery.com/b-50-flemish-twist-bow-string.html
Id recommend a 58" length and it will stretch a little.
Absolutely , that string will work fine with the Montana .
It should be .020" thickness.
Yes you would want a 48" length for that bow.
Yes, however i recommend using a 54" string.
I would recommend 50" for Browning Nomad, 54" for Indian Seneca, and 48" for the Indiana Mohawk.
If the string does not have center serving on it then yes I would add that to the string.
The string length listed is the true length of the string. If your bow is 60 inches then you would need to order a 56 inch string.
