Bear 60" Maple Kodiak Recurve Bow Reviews

Amazing bow

MarkGreg

This is my fourth Fred Bear bow and it was the most expensive. I am comparing it to a Grizzly, AuSable, and Montana. Now I know why the 59' Kodiak is the most expensive of the four. . It is a true gem of a bow. Light weight, beautifully crafted, a pleasure to shoot, fast, and hard hitting. I suspect this will prove to be my favorite. Five thumbs up for Fred Bear Archery for bringing read more back this classic recurve.

Couldn't believe how beautiful this bow was when I got it. Setup was a breeze, and shoots with power and ease.

I have several bows but this is the one I return to again and again. My bow is 40# and shoots 400 carbons with 145 grain points as well as Bear Razor heads with aluminium inserts with excellent accuracy.

These bows ALWAYS seem to be on back order ( > 45 lbs) grrrr! Any idea when you'll get more in stock? Spoke with Bear. They said retailers get first dibs. Sooo very frustrating! Been trying to order one for many months.

I would suggest putting in a back order for one. We are not gett 3 years ago

I would suggest putting in a back order for one. We are not getting complete orders from Bear, so though we are getting them in, they are not in numbers where we have extras, or if so they are being purchased immediately. We authorize your card, but do not charge it until the bow ships out to the customer.

Hi, if I were to go with a pull weight of 40# and my draw length is 30" would that bring me to a pull weight of 45#?

It would be in that range yes. You gain 2 to 3 pounds for every 3 years ago

In the description I'm reading that the shelf is radiused. However in the pictures it appears that it is flat under the feather rest. Can you please clarify this. Thanks.

It will have a flat shelf with a radiused feather rest to shoot off of. The feather rest works great.
