Looks original. Glad I found this Bear coin. 3rivers comes thru again.
I will buy this product again.
I'm refinishing a 1969 Bear Kodiak Hunter recurve bow. The medallion was drilled into by the previous owner. I'm so glad 3Rivers Archery has them for sale. I'm refinishing another Bear recurve and I will purchase another one.
I'll call 3Rivers Archery again.
I'm restoring a vintage Fred Bear Kodiak bow and found every thing I needed at a great price.

Very hard time finding Bear Medallion until coming to 3Rivers Archery Equipment Web site.3Rivers Archery Equipment had an exact replica of original Bear Archery Bear Medallion that came on Fred Bear Bows from the 1950's-1960's.After trying to locate medallion @ archery swap-meets, outdoor shows,Archery magazines, had just about given up looking.Restoring a Bear Kodiak 60 lbs. recurve… read more & a Bear BearCat 35 lbs.recurve would have been impossible if it were not for 3 Rivers Archery.Medallion came out of the package requiring no further finishing @ all. Bright brass as if it had just come from the Bear factory!!!Can't go wrong with 3 Rivers Archery :)
I will buy this product again!
I restored a Fred Bear Kodiak that was missing the medallion, this was the exact thing I needed. I was a little disappointed when I opened it, it was rather dull but it easily polished right up with a small buffing wheel and drimel tool.
Medallion
Going to mount this into my walking stick, should be a nice addition to the natural wood look
I will be buying more of these
these are great replacements for missing medalions on bear bows cant wait to buy other products already have list
It is the new brass.
It's new.
The medallions are new. Designed after the original bear coins.
The back is flat and does not have a pin on it.
The back side of the Medallion ist flat. You have to glue it in a 1/16" deep blind hole of the same diameter as the Medallion is. Gesendet mit der Telekom Mail App Von: 3Rivers Archery Betreff: Can you help a fellow shopper?
It has a flat back with no texture, and no stem. The medallion is for wooden handle Bear bows that have a routered hole that is inset in the handle. It is about a 1/16th of an inch thick.
The back is a flat blank. The entire piece is slightly thicker than a penny. The coin strike and finish is great. If you are doing an inlay, use an end mill bit .005" smaller than the coin and sand in the fit with #600 sandpaper. Cover with a pour on finish to blend finishes.
The back is flat. I just glued it in.
The back of the medallion is flat, no stub that inserts to hole. It is also smooth.
Hi I found using 5 minute epoxy works great after you clean all the old glue out and make sure the new medallin fits properly first. Brian
The medallion will not fit in the place of the compass. You would need a larger hole.
I measured 21+ mm with my caliper
You could always drill it a little bigger to make it fit I measured 21+ mm with my caliper
Yes.
We only sell the brass. This sets into the bow were there is a hole for it to set in.
This would work for most of Bear bows besides 1962 and 1963 when they had Fred's Picture on the Medallion.
These medallions are reproductions. But if you had the gold one it will be the same as the original.
They are replicas.
