This piece is very traditional and brings back images of Fred Bear and his bows. I place a piece of toothpick behind it before installing it on my bow. I have removed and reapplied it several times; very durable!

This item looks great on paper, but the size is smaller than the original Bear product. The style is cut to flex the original was a pressed process. Some of the look and a little of the function. Could be good for a Wall hanger bow. Stick with hair models.

most of the time i use it old fashioned recurves and longbos, they look very tradicional and add caracter to the bows ¡¡

I own a Fred Bear Kodiak Magnum, and i like to try and keep my bow as traditional and original as possible. This leather plate fits the bill perfectly. the only thing is i thought itd be a little bigger but that doesnt effect anything at all really. Overall a great piece that doesnt deture my arrows shot in anyway and for the price its perfect

This strike plate is general thinner than the strike plate that comes with the rug rest. Because of it being leather it is not guaranteed to be thinner.
