New Super Grizzly in Shedua wood is a real beauty!
When this bow came out in Shedua wood a 50# version had to become part of my collection. It carries so well in the woods, shoots with authority, tuned well, no hand-shock or stacking. Bear Archery recurves can hang with the best of bows. The history and nostalgia of Fred Bear and his bows are truly legendary!
Great bow, everything I need and nothing I don't
This is the slightly upgraded version of the Grizzly, with reinforced tips and one more laminate layer in the arms. It is a well made, solid but light bow. It seems like it holds up to whatever it needs to. It shoots well right away (I just got the arrows that 3Rivers recommended based on my draw length, the bow, etc). Nothing fancy, but love that it is just a simple, great shooting… read more recurve.
Excellent Bow
Got this bow for hunting and 3D shoots. Excellent bow. Beautifully made.
Bear Super grizzly bow
I will use the bow primarily for target shooting
1 great bow
This Super Grizzly is my new whitetail hunting bow, smooth draw, tuned easily, and stacks arrows on top of each other
Absolutely would buy this bow again.
I hadn't shot a traditional bow in close to 16 years. Purchased a Super grizzly in 55#. Wish I would have went with a 50# would have made the relearning curve shorter. But overall I couldn't be happier with this bow. Shoots great has great feel and I love the look of the black and red.
Great shooter
Got my super grizz in 55#. I'm exact 28" draw and I'm getting 56.5 on a known accurate scale. I found mine to be fairly quite and extremely smooth for a shorter bow. At 28" there's no stacking or finger pinch. The bow feels natural to me and puts arrows where ever I'm focusing on the target. I'm getting 172 FPS with 589 gr arrows, she's no slouch either.
Great bow
Hunting , changing over from compound back to traditional again
Good bow, poor D97 string
D97 string starts to "fray" at the loops after a few hundred shots. Order a better string when you buy this bow. Otherwise it's a good shooter.
I generally recommend 40-50# for deer hunting.
Yes, it has the inlaid bear medallion and hand written serial number and bow info, just like my bear from 30 years ago.
Traditional B55 flemish Twist seems to be the best we have found.
Bear Archery dose not offer the Grizzly in those colors anymore , it only comes in the Shedua and Fascor core lamination's with black fiberglass on the back and belly .
International shipping can take up to 30 business days. Due to the length it would have to ship via UPS WWE which would be about $223.99 for the shipping cost.
These have a maple limb core.
The only way to know for sure what will work best for your set up is to tune a set of arrows to your set up. If you want assistance with how to tune or getting a spine that is close, give us a call at 260-587-9501
Yes we do have a couple in stock
We have no definite date as to when they will come Bear Archery is still experiencing delays .
I generally recommend 40-50# for deer hunting.
We are unsure at this time of when we will receive new stock from Bear Archery. We do apologize.
