I would not buy again, too thick!
Tried to use on older recurve that was not cut quite to center. This rest is too thick .Arrow pointed way left and I couldn't find a weak enough arrow to make it useful.
Simple and it works!
Like the title says. The rest is simple to use and effective for recreational shooting from a recurve bow.
I would buy this product again.
Left handed elevated rest works great on my bow.
Great flight with no wear
Went from shooting off shelf to elevated rest. Better flight and clearance. Bow is also more quiet. I changed rest and silencers so I'm not sure if that is due to a combination of changing both or one or the other.
Great old rest
Put it on my girlfriends sons bow and he shot the best round of 3D ever for him
Excellent
Easy installation and stays where its put. Quality product that works well.
Great little rest
Added this to my samick polaris. It was easy to install and an huge improvement over the one that came with the bow.
This is so cheap I was surprised at how well it performed
this product is awesome and simple to install. I have yet to see how it performs in the cold weather
Solid and Dependable
I'm a hunter and want something tough and dependable, don't know that it gets much better than this. I do modify it a bit to get it a little closer to the shelf, but that's just personal preference.
Lets you shoot vanes very accurately
I hunt in all weather conditions on public land. Rain snow etc. have always been a major pain for me because of feather fletchings. So after much trying and failing to find more weather resistant feathers I gave up, mounted this rest, and switched to vanes. The result has been a vast improvement in my shooting during less than perfect weather. Would have given 5 stars if the foam… read more adhesive pads weren't so thick and easily messed up. Using super glue to secure the rest solved that.
As long as there is enough area to stick the rest on you should have no problem using this rest.
I don't believe there is a recommended nock set for 4 fletch. However, with feathers you shouldn't notice any problems.
This will fray the feathers over time. It will not fry the feathers after only a few shots.
No it will not, one of the best for the money. Pierre
Changing to the weather rest will not affect the performance of the arrows.
It will hold you arrow further from your riser than your current side plate. It will also cause your arrow to sit higher from your shelf. You should be able to use the same spine arrow but you will have to retune your bow to accommodate this rest.
That extra piece is for if you remove it from a bow and want to place it on another bow you can peal the old off and use the extra one.
It can be used to build out the rest from the riser to adjust for centre shot or improper arrow spine.
You can cover the plunger hole the rest is not designed for use with a plunger.
I have found it best to mount the weather rest flush with the riser shelf and line up the arm (arrow contact point on rest) with the deepest part of your grip. This should reduce negative affect of bow torque.
Yes, you can use vanes with this type of rest.
As long as there is enough area to stick the rest on you should have no problem using this rest.
.0625
From my calculation, it's .1875, about 3/16 of an inch.
Definitely can't be .0625 I also need corect info
Yes
Yes I shoot vanes with mine all the time. Kyle

For this bow and if you use a plunger button a T-300 rest it will enable you get a better arrow flight than using a Bear weather rest. The weather rest is fairly stiff and will not work well with vaned arrows.
I have used these stick-on plastic rests to revitalize many older bows that had simple shelves or no shelves at all.. While not perfect rests they are a huge improvement for vintage bows. These rests care little if you shoot fingers or release. They care nothing about whether you shoot sights or instinctive. They are, however, sensitive to arrow spine weight, so shoot the correct arrow for your bow draw weight and you'll be fine. The other issue with these plastic rests is that they can cause wear on your plastic veins or feathers. There are 2 ways to minimize this: 1) Don't use super tall, long or wide veins and... 2) with a small scissor, shorten the flipper so that it is not longer than what you need and recontour the flipper so it has no more upcurve than you need. These things will be apparent when you draw a few arrows over the rest and mock a few slow motion, hand held arrow releases over the rest to watch how the veins contact the flipper.
I suspect that an archery store could have installed a number of options, but my bow - same as yours - had a rest just like the one shown here when I received the bow decades ago. Happy shooting.
