They worked but I personally just prefer cat whiskers
I like them but I think cat whiskers quiet the bow down better
Easy to use and works well
These are easy to thread into the string and seem to work quite well. Just opened up the twist on the string, stick one end in, twist the string closed again, wrap them tightly along the direction of the twist, and when you get to the end open up the string again and put the other end in, twist it back up tight, string it up, and shoot away. They seem to hold up well.
Shhh
Does the job, well made, and easy to install
Quality product
Works very well
Best
Best Beaver balls I've bought.
I would buy this again and recommend
Reduce twang and whack. Reduces bow shiver in your hand
Skinned from a miniature beaver
I purchased one a couple years ago and got what I expected. This time around it was as other reviewers have been saying - extremely small.
Very good silencers
Put 2 of these on a Bear Super Grizzley hunting recurve. Serves the purpose very well. Went on YouTube to find the best way to install them. Super easy to install.
No
I performed an extensive sound and speed test on String Silencers. I utilized calibrated sound equipment and I also performed a Single Blind Study on multiple experienced Archers. I considered dry and wet environments. The Beaver Balls did not perform as well as some alternate synthetic solutions. This can be magnified in wet weather if the silencer gets saturated.
I would buy this product again
These silencers are easy to install and they work. Not as good as the mountain man beaver balls but still quite the string okay
I am not quite sure to what you are referring. Give us a call at 1-866-587-9501 and we will try to get everything fixed for you.
the way u normaly put them on the ends go in the string and hold it in place do not tie the string to them wrap them around itan inbetween the strands.
Yes you can split the string shove one end of the silencer through and then wrap the silencer around the string to the other end and open the string to put the other end through.
This will include 1 pair of silencers for each end of your string.
They are sold in pairs. James Hagerman
Generally 12-14" down from the loop works well.
Craig, I know on a compound the four beads next to the cam supposedly gives your arrow more speed. However on a long bow or recurve bow I can only suggest by try and error with a good sound device, that picks up decibels readings, you can pick the right spot on your string to reduce string vibrations. Dave
Yes you would be able to clean those up and get them to puff back out. You would need to work the excess wax out.
Its 3/16 X 4''
David I can’t answer your question completely because it’s been so long since I installed them. They are about an inch wide and can’t be very long since they only wrap around the strings a couple of times as far as I can tell without removing them. They make a nice puff and do a great job silencing the strings. Sorry I can’t provide any more detail than that. Matt
They're about 3/8-7/16" wide x 4" long
Yes, they can be used on a dacron string.
Yes, the installation is the same. Whichever string you use, it you plan to install them yourself have a bow press handy or be clever. I installed mine successfully without a press and it was frustrating at best. Sent from my iPhone
Jonathan, These can be used on a dacron string. I have used them on both dacron and fast flight strings in endless loop and flemish configurations.
The Beaver Fur string silencers do well in wet conditions, but they are not waterproof. I would say you would be good with them, but if still concerned, go with all-rubber silencers like cat whiskers, Super String Leeches, or BowJax Ultra II.
Water does not affect them much. After all beavers spend allot of time there.
Better than the puffs for sure. I think the best option for damp shootin is the cat whiskers (rubber) but you lose the traditional look. I also recommend coupling the beaver balls with the calf skin on your risers. The wet string slaps your limbs pretty bad. Those two, and a quick prayer to the deity of your choice is your best bet while still maiming a classic look. Sent from my iPhone
They will vary in color. They can range from grey and brown, to brown, to a red brown.
Yes ..they are brown, & look great on my Tomahawk SS longbow ! Sent from my iPad
The set I purchased look dark brown.
I think you could call the brown "beaver balls" a brownish grey. It is a pleasant color.
Yes... they are brown and looked good with my brown and red flemish string.
The color I received was dark brown/gray, like a beaver.
The beaver hide comes from the USA
Beaver is only native to the U.S and Canada. So it would depend. Sent from my iPhone
