I thought this tool kit was great. I fell in love with the rasp, very good tool and the one i used the most during my build. I wish it would have come with some instructions on how to care for my new tools, but i can look this up.

This is a great starter kit for a beginner bow maker. The DVD is excellent but the rasp is too small and the cabinet scraper is too thin. I bought better replacements at the local hardware store. All in all a good buy for the money.

I bought this kit and a bamboo backed roughed out bow stave. It got me started and the DVD is very informative. I also bought a bigger rasp, as the one in the kit was too small. All in all, for the money, it's a good starter kit!

Yes an no. Once you watch the excellent DVD, you'll see that you also need a nice bench with at least a 4" light duty clamp to hold your bow to work on. You'll also need and a better rasp and cabinet scraper as well as a yardstick and weight scale with pully to measure the bows draw weight. It's a good starter kit for the money - especially the DVD!
