3Rivers always comes through for me. Since most compound shooters are shoot split limb bows, its hard to find a limb dampener for a solid limb.

Yes, I would buy this again and again.

This really works well. I'm using these on is a TD Southwest Spyder XL. The XL is a bit on noisy side. My normal path is to add string whiskers, brush buttons and felt under the string rests. With this bow I also added felt between where the limbs attach to the riser. This made a huge difference, however I needed more. These limb dampeners are the absolute best thing for this read more bow and I think any bow. These really and I mean really made a difference in sound. Where to place was the biggest question. For the Spyder XL, 5" up from the riser seems to work best. I tried a couple locations and found that this was the best and affected the arrow flight the least. When I moved it up around 9" the arrow started getting a flip twist and didn't make a bit of difference in sound. TIP - To find the best location, I wrapped it 3 times with electrical tape around the center of the dampener and limb. In fact I'm using this technique instead of the adhesive tab so I can take it off when traveling with this bow. I can see on the limbs where the 4 flexible arms are hitting the bow when shot. This works so well, vibration is just stopped. Those little arms are the secret.

Almost Dead Quiet

I was having trouble quieting my 64" Bear Supper Kodiak Grayling Green Recurve bow. Finally started over and replaced the string with a custom fast flight flemish string which did help quiet it down some but not enough for me. I had already tried the other popular brand limb dampener but couldn' tell any dicernable difference. I reluctantly decided to try the Bowjax Slimjax. Made read more a world of difference. All I hear now is a very very low DEAD thud and the arrow impacting the target. I will order another set for the recurve that I am customizing if I need it without hesitation. Money well spent.

I'VE SHOT ABOUT TEN THOUSAND SHOTS NOW WITH SLIMJAX.I CAN HONESTLY SAY IT'S BEEN A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I HAVE NOT REALLY NOTICED NOISE REDUCTION,THOUGH THE BOW ISN'T LOUDER EITHER. SLIMJAX ARE LIGHT AND DO NOT AFFECT THE WEIGHT OF THE BOW FOR HOLDING ON. SOMETHING I NOTICE WHICH IS UNIQUE TO SLIMJAX IS WHEN I SHOOT MY BOW AND I LET DOWN I CAN FEEL A HUM A KIND OF FINE VIBRATION IN read more MY FINGER FOR ABOUT THREE SECONDS.NONE OF MY BOWS WITHOUT SLIMJAX DOES THIS.I'VE COME TO REALIZE WHAT CAUSES THIS. WHEN THE LIMB SLAMS FORWARD THE SLIMJAX ABSORB THE VIBRATION---THAT IS THEY ABSORB THE ENERGY AND YOUR HAND DOES NOT.THEN AFTER THE SHOT THE SLIMJAX SLOWLY RELEASE THE ENERGY BACK INTO THE BOW IN THE FORM OF THIS LOW VIBRATION.SO ESSENTIALLY THEY SPREAD THE RELEASE OF ENERGY OVER A LONGER PERIOD AND THIS SAVES YOUR HAND AND TEETH. SLIMJAX ARE VERY EASY TO APPLY.JUST PEEL OFF THE NON STICK PAPER AND PRESS THE SLIMJAX IN PLACE AND IT'S THERE.I'VE USED MINE IN SNOW RAIN SLEET FREEZING COLD AND BOILING HEAT AND HUMIDITY.THEY WORK UNDER ALL CONDITIONS AND ARE STILL IN PLACE. SLIMJAX DEFINATELY MAKES THE BOW SMOOTHER TO THE HAND AND ENHANCES MY SHOOTING EXPERIENCE. I GUESS IT COULD BE SAID SLIMJAX ARE A MODERN THING ON A TRADITIONAL BOW.PERSONALLY I THINK FUNCTION SHOULD DICTATE DESIGN SO ON MY MODERN AMERICAN LONGBOW WITH THE FIBERGLASS BACK AND BELLY I'VE PUT RUBBER SLIMJAX AND I THINK IT LOOKS GREAT.BOTTOM LINE SLIMJAX TO THE MAX.HAVE FUN.

Vibration Free!

I tried these based on the reviews on this site. They have completely eliminated any vibration from my Howard Hill Longbow. I know it says they were desined for thin limbed compounds or recurves, but they work great on my Longbow. I installed them about an inch and a half from the fades and Wow! Vibration Free! I use these in conjunction with the Ultra II string silencers, read more and My bow is so quiet, all I hear is the string slipping off my glove and the arrow hitting the target.

Great product

I purchased this product along with the bowjax string silencers, and I am very impressed with their effectiveness. After silencing the string, I still had some very noticeable limb noise. I placed these limb jax about an inch and a half from the fade outs on my 56" long bow, and what a difference! The bow is now whisper quiet, and has very little hand shock! These products have read more taken a bow that was very loud and snappy and difficult to shoot, and turned it into a quiet smooth pleasure to shoot. I now have tighter groups, and more consistent follow through due to the new shooter friendly mannerisms of the bow. A word of caution: they will change the tune of your bow! I now require a different arrow set up than prior to installation. Other than that, and their non-traditional look on a long bow, I am very satisfied!!! And 3R service and shipping is second to none.

I bought the limb dampeners mostly to lessen the effects of "bow 11 years ago

I bought the limb dampeners mostly to lessen the effects of "bowshock" on my wrist and hands from my recurve. I like to shoot a lot, and my bow had more vibration than I realized, and over a short period of time it caused some pain in my hand every time I shot. I bought the Bojax limb dampeners and the string dampeners mainly to lessen the overall vibration of the bow. Once my hand healed enough to shoot again, I attached both limb and string dampeners to my recurve. There is almost no vibration when I shoot now, and the bow is very quiet. Although I did not mind the noise of the bow before, there was a definite marked difference in noise level after I attached these. There is almost no noise when I fire the bow, and the deer I have shot did not seem to flinch or jump the string, from eight to twenty yards away. These definitely work to reduce both noise and vibration..

I have the Hoyt Dorado which is a recurve. There were some issues with vibration. That is what I bought these dampeners for. I didn't notice a big noise difference however I installed mink fur on the string so that brought noise level down. Over all very good dampeners and I have had no issues with them.. Worth the money. Yes, they come with an adhesive backing. Clean the surface to be adhered to with denatured alcohol, peel the protective tape from the bottom of the limbjax, and place carefully where you want them installed. You can remove and reposition them, if done quickly and carefully. Once in the correct position, press firmly! After they have been insalled, they will not come off unless you FORCEFULLY remove them. Adhesive leaves no residue.
