Calf Hair Rest and Plate
Needed it for a new bow that I built
Your calf hair rests are great!
all my bows leave the shop with one of your "calf hair" rests.
My favorite shelf and plate material
3Rivers should keep their eye on the direction the hair is going. I've received 1 or 2 that the hair was going diagonally across instead of to the right for a left hander.
One of the 5 calfhair,1 is not going forward it's going up.
I build my own bows and this is the first calfhair rest this not good. The leather is spongy and hair is going in the wrong direction. It's supposed to go forward not up and fuzzy. JF
Yes
These items are great. I put them on an old Ben Pearson recurve. Super smooth and quite.
Perfect rest
I love these. They are inexpensive, simple, wear well, and are easy to replace when needed.
Rest and plate
Seems to do what it was meant to do on my martin Hunter recurve.
Great Calf Hair Plate
Great calf hair plate with adhesive backing. Easy to install. One-piece design is simple and effective.
Good product
Works well. Nice and quit
Effective and simple to use
I was looking something quieter than my rug rest on my longbow. This was inexpensive, easy to install and was more quiet. I never tried seal skin, but would like to see how quiet it was.
Front of bow arrow flight
The calf hair rest is about .050. You could use the leather as a rest or strike plate. But I would recommend just getting the leather rest or plate. They will last longer.
You can shoot off of the leather that is underneath the hair. The shelf and strike plate material are personal preferences. I would recommend that you would get new material.
You are going to need to order it in right hand so that the hair is going the right direction.
This is fairly thin. The hairs help to distribute the noise. It is a very popular rest and plate.
This plate is nice and thin, but very durable. I believe you will be very satisfied with it, I am.
This Calf hide scuff plate is thick enough to do its intended job ( about 1/16" ) but not thick enough to change the tune of your bow.
