Good training aid
I'm 68, have taken a few deer with compound bows, but haven't shot trad since my college days in the '70's and wanted to get back into it just for fun. So, I bought the Cairn takedown recurve from 3Rivers and, after having shot a few dozen arrows with it I decided I needed help getting to a consistent draw length before release ... no cable or limb stops to fall back on with a… read more recurve, of course. I have found this clicker to be an excellent training aid in that regard. Once set up properly it does give me a consistent audible cue that I'm at full draw and that helps me build that consistent shot process. I did set it up and checked it for consistency on my draw table, then shot some and tweaked it with the chain as needed. Am having a lot of fun shooting the Cairn instinctively and the clicker is helping me learn. One thing to be aware of, however, is that if you mount the clicker to the riser as is recommended in the 3R video, the tie cord is too short to reach the bow string. I removed the supplied string and replaced it with a length of d-loop material ... something I was going to do anyway. The attached photo shows the clicker attached with the d-loop material and the supplied string is the high viz stuff laying on the table. So, if you don't want to bother with changing out the actuating string, then you'll need to mount the clicker base to a limb ... which, by the way, is what the supplied written directions tell you to do. Personally, I like the idea of mounting the clicker on the lower part of the riser but be forewarned about the supplied string, because once you stick that little clicker to your bow you're not going to be able to move it.
Life changing device
I was emotionally against using a clicker because I wanted to shoot strictly instinctive and I didn't think they were necessary…until I got one. This little piece of gear is life altering to your shooting performance. It forces consistency in your shot process and insane accuracy. If you're not using this clicker you need to be.
Would buy again
Pros: I like the bead chain, great for quick, precise adjustments. Cons: For hunting, you could have put a non shiny finish on it, maybe black. Also need a way to quieten it down a bit. As is, you're gonna alert every deer in the forest. I don't think that's asking too much for price your asking. However, I was able to modify it to make it work.
Agreat shooting aid. I will be buying more!
It takes a little bit of effort to set up the clicker to work at the correct draw length, but one you get it set up it works really well.
A great tool for getting accustomed to a new bow and draw.
Recently bought a new takedown after years of shooting compounds. Needed to reset my recurve skills and this will definitely help.
Great
Great for training
I would recommend
It works great, make sure it is screwed down securely. If you plan on hunting with it wrap tape around the piece that clicks, and add some paint or tape over shiny Metal.
I would buy this
It dwminds you to let go .
This is a game changer
Great product. Helped me in every aspect of my shooting. I use it hunting with no problems.
I first saw this demonstrated on one of Clay Haye's videos
I first saw this demonstrated on one of Clay Haye's videos. As a novice shooter, learning to shoot on my own, this has absolutely helped me to develop better form and improve my accuracy. I would be remiss though, if I didn't mention that this was just one of many outstanding tips Clay Hayes presents in his videos on shooting as well as those found in his bow building videos...
Yes - the Klicker does come with setup instructions.
Yes, although we went with their concept, we found that attaching it to the riser worked better, we also used small fishing swivels for easy detaching. You will find that by doing it this way, it is easier to keep it on when you have to adjust your brace. You will need two people so as to properly mark string while you do your draw. Best to draw 3 to 5 times to get the correct mark on string for attaching point on string. Good luck and if done right you'll notice a great improvement right away!
Yes it does
Yes, it does. There a ton of videos on YouTube as well. It's pretty easy
We do not have any extra components for this item.
I don't believe you can buy replacement parts for the Klickity-clicker
Yes we can ship to the UK
I would recommend a double sided tape.
3M makes a heavy duty double sided tape that works well. Make sure you clean both surfaces thoroughly with alcohol.
I'm not aware of it being sold separately, but double side tape can be purchased in most hardware stores. Sent from my iPhone
Just purchase a roll of 3m double sided foam adhesive tape from your local hardware store and you will have enough to last a long time that's what I do. I use the kind that comes in a red roll with a thin black adhesive. Sent from my iPhone
No
I like to put them just above the fade out on the lower limb.
No
Nope
You will have to cut a hole in the limb sock and it will mount to the limb.
This has an adhesive back.

They are made by different manufacturers. They are meant to do the same thing. We have several reviews on both of them that you may find helpful.
