Carry with to set up spare string, also to adjust other archers not properly set up. Bought 2,one for me and one to loan out.

The metal on the bow square is so sharp it will cut your bowstring if you even get it near it! Junk! Don't buy it! A carpenters speed-squate is better.

Overall the kit is a good idea. The nocks and pliers are good. The square on the other hand is not very durable. When it was pivoted open the straight edge was not straight. When I tried to open it a little more to straighten it the little stop broke off. I didn't use that much force. Now I just open it and eyeball the edge for straightness and use it that way.

Because the bow square will fold everything fits into my archery parts box with no problems. Very handy for setting up and checking my bows.

The folding bow square is good as any of the none folding types plus it's easier to pack. The nock set pliers are poorly manufactured, they fine for crimping on a nock set ring but the jaws are too thick at the front end to open a clamped on nock set ring. An hour with a good file to shape the front jaws to a knife edge so they enter the nock ring split will make the tool 100%… read more useful.
