Great limbs!

These are a great set of limbs. I purchased the xtra long limbs at 40#. The have a smooth draw and give me an accurate shot. I have set these limbs up with a 21 inch barebow riser, as well as a 17in. trad riser. and they're awesome to shoot with. I recommend them to any longbow enthusiast.

I'm 76 and needed a really light set of limbs without buy-in another bow, Ordered the Long Longbow Limbs in 29#, Made an 18 strand FF Flemish String while I waited. Been using GT 600 Trad Arrows cut to 29.5. Then I started bare shafting. Adding point weight the arrows were way stiff with 175 gr points. waiting for heavier points and inserts as I type this. Didn't want to buy new read more arrows. Bare shafting 28.5 and 29.5 shafts, Just screwing in heavier points first, then get to inserts as testing progresses. Eye-opening results so far. Inconsistent shooting was arrow tune not form. Bare shaft in same group out to 15 yards, at 20 stiff shafts and planing really bad. As I add point weight, the arrows fly better and hit harder. The FOC is making that happen. Happy with the limbs, but like the 2021 price better.

Absolutely would purchase these again!!

Shot with these for about a year. Hunted with them last season and I love them. These are now my go to limbs.

Versatile Power, at Excellent Price.

I put a set of extra long 60# limbs on a 25" riser and created a versatile target bow. It draw pulls 48 pounds at 26.5 brace height which is my draw length, and 51 pounds or so at 28 inch BH. it doesn't stack until 35 inches or so. The bow is 71.5 inch over all length even though it should be 72, but that is because the riser is advertised at 25 but you get variances in different read more brands, and this one holds the limbs about a half inch short. This isn't a big deal, but Physics is Physics. A big plus is that if I host company to shoot on my personal range that this bow could be used by someone that has a draw length of up to around 35 inches. This would be someone normally that would be around 6 foot 7 inches or so. I am 5.9 but have been 5.10 most of my life but have become a bit shorter with age and have always shot around 26.5 to 27 inch draw. The only 3 issues that I can see with this set up is/and or would be 1. Its not ideal for use as a hunting bow. I really dont count that as a con, but it is a true target bow and at 70 inches in length with the string on it, it is not made for crawling through the brush. 2. I thought it would be a smoother draw, however it goes to about 10 pounds at the first inch of draw pull, and is steady up to the full draw, which makes it shoot with quite consistent power through the shot throw. This is actually nice, but I would need to set up weaker limbs to get more of a 35 pound bow for anyone who is not ready or used to shooting in the 40 to 50 range on a bow like this. I was a little surprised at this, but since I regularly shoot 70 to 80 pound recurves, I like it for me, I was just surprised that it had that much tension at the start of the draw. So again, this is a Con/or/Pro depending on who is shooting the bow. 3. This bow is not set up for anyone who is short/or/short draw length. I guess again I can't and shouldn't really call this a con, as it is more of a condition. Anyone 5.4 would probably not shoot it well.

I purchased these limbs last year and felt I'd give them a year before a review. I love long bows so I bout a set in 60# for my Hoyt sitori 19" riser I knew I wanted bamboo and at this price it fit the bill. The finish is great I've drug it through the thickest of thicket and it's still like new. The draw is super smooth without noodling. I shoot a fixed crawl and it handles it read more with no issues shooting an even tiller. My only complaint is that my top limb has a little bit of a soft detent to lock into the top limb pocket wether it's the limb or bow I'm not sure but it's not enough for me to worry about it coming out for 150$ I can live with it. Limbs have pretty good power Buried a holy tip traditional arrows in to a buck last season with 8" sticking out the other side. If you're wary on spending 5-700 on ILF long bow limbs this is a great option . I will be ordering another set in 45 or 50 can't decide yet. Hit the buy button you won't be disappointed. On a side note I wish they had the limbs a little shorter like maybe a 60 on a 17" riser 64" on my sitori riser is a little cumbersome in the woods. Happy hunting

I got these longbow limbs to get back into traditional archery after taking some time off. I was a little skeptical at first, but after a month of using them-I am convinced they are pretty darn good. Nothing fancy about them, they just plain work and that is good enough for me.

Excellent Price Point for Traditional ILF Bamboo Limbs

I bought this for my SWA Stingray as the stock limbs at 50# was a bit too much for me. Although they were foam core, my heart lies with bamboo and these were a great replacement. While I do prefer shooting recurve over hybrid flatbow limbs, these were sufficient for the time I shot them. I love the springiness of bamboo and the poundage at 40# was perfect, especially when you tiller read more them down to 42# or so. I was ecstatic when saw that DAS released recurve limbs in bamboo as well. However, those are on back order as of this writing, but I'll definitely be putting in an order when they're back in stock. As for pricing, it was a bummer that it went up from $149.99 in October 2019 to $159.99 in August 2020, but given pandemic, it's understandable. Do give these a try as they're worth the bang for the buck (just don't have the limbs make a bang sound). The only downside to these were the finishes on the limb tips. They were a little rough and uneven, although they didn't affect shooting, I do sometimes worry about wearing out the string from abrasion.

AMAZING

EXTREMELY WELL MADE. For 159.99, it matches up in performance with my 1200$ custom bow. With an arrow that is 14.5gpp, it is still fast.

I relatively new to the sport and I am looking for a set of longbow limbs to use while learning/practicing technique. I bought a used Hoyt Excel 23" riser that came with some Samick recurve limbs with a heavier draw and am looking for about a 30# draw we

You will loose about 6# of pull on these limbs with a 23" riser, 3 years ago

You will loose about 6# of pull on these limbs with a 23" riser, as they are rated on a 17" riser. To end up with 30# @ 29" I would recommend getting the 35# limbs. As they will go up in weight 2# going form 28" to 29", So down 6# and up 2# puts it at 4#. So the 35# rated limbs should give you what you are looking for.

I'm thinking of buying a set of XL longbow limbs for my 21" Hoyt Satori. However, I've been told that longbow limbs coupled with long risers over the length of 19" often experience "noodling." Any truth to this claim, or will I be okay with this setup?

I have seen some foam core limbs get that way but I haven't seen 2 years ago

ILF just refers to the fitting, longbows are generally a little smoother or more forgiving as you are not pulling against that curve. ILF is handy for serious target shooters who like certain limbs and certain risers.
