Awesome

I used this file to make a red oak board bow. The coarse side romoves wood very quickly yet accurately - with a draw knife or similar tool it is easy remove too much wood or gouge into the wood. The other side of the file, while still rather coarse produces a suprisingly smooth surface. Excellent tool.

Best rasp ever

Don't waste your time with cheap rasps...I wouldn't touch another rasp after using this one. It's got 20+ bows under its belt and going strong!

Love this! Great to use!

This was a well thought out piece of tooling. I love to use this,... really makes things go by with ease! Highly recommend this to anyone.

Perfect rasp

This is one of the finest woodshaping tools I have ever owned. For making board bows and selfbows, I use an extremely coarse farrier's rasp, a stanley surform, a stanley spokeshave, and this rasp. It gives me extremely precise control for any kind of shaping, from rounding bow edges to handle shaping. The dual handle makes the rasp both less fatiguing and easier to use than traditional read more 1 handle rasps. The rasp body is thin enough that I can use it for gentle contour work. Finally, having coarse and fine rasps in one tool is a lot more convenient than you'd think, since I no longer have to search my workbench for a different rasp. Excellent product.

It is supposed to remain untouched to make it last longer and work better. It comes with a secondary handle for the other end.
