Breaks Easy
The rest broke off after one arrow and there was no mishandling of the rest before or after installation.
I have owned these before and I would buy them again.
This arrow rest does exactly what it is designed to do. It works perfectly in any weather and eliminates the need for expensive arrow holders.
Good solid functional hunting rest
I have one of these on an Omega Original longbow and a vintage Wing Red Wing Hunter recurve. Very effective arrow retention, an excellent choice for hunting. No sign of wear after hundreds of shots. To get the arrow closer to the riser, trim the protrusion, peel off foam adhesive, sand the back, and adhere with 5 minute epoxy.
I would buy this product again
Works perfectly with my Samich Sage Take down recurve bow
Good design, poor adhesive
Good design. Will not remain stuck to bow.
So Far So Good
Just got a new 45# recurve in the mail and attached this, today was the first time I'd ever used a rest like this and let me say the learning curve was basically nonexistent, I could easily and quickly get my groups to get to where they were on my other bow (maybe even better) with this rest, I've only used it one day but so far their isn't any signs of wear.
Great Product
I restore vintage compound bows and this little rest is just as good today as it was "back in the day", so to speak. It's easy to apply, it's very durable, it's functional, and timeless.
Dura Flip
Does exactly what it's suppose to do.
Dura flip rest
I would not use this on my bow but it is perfect for my grand kids samick polaris bow. keeps the arrow on the bow while drawing back.
Arrow rest
we teach youths in 4-H program and this is the only arrow rest we use. The students are able to keep the arrow in place without putting their fingers on it. Used for years and won't change
It sounds like you may be plucking the string on your release. Plucking the string on release it will cause the string to snap back the opposite direction especially on lighter bows. If you were to tell yourself to touch your shoulder upon release so that your hand comes straight back this will allow a smooth clean release. The flipper rest will not be an issue in this situation. If this does not seem to help please give us a call in here at 866-587-9501 and we can help you further.
Install the Dura Flip rest over the plunger hole in the riser. The notch that hooks up to keep the arrow on the rest will not interfer with the feathers as feathers lay flat when they come into contact with any thing, and that is one reason they are superior to vanes.
The flipper rest should point forward .
It does work with plastic vanes, but I feel there are better rest available like the T-300 Item #8190x
The Cartel rubber arrow rest does a good job for us in the summer camp archery program using plastic vanes that are on our aluminum and carbon arrows. We use VaneTec and Easton vanes on our arrows. Feathers probably give better flight and spine of arrows is important. We are shooting very close range for beginners.
Yes! We have a youth archery program here at El ranch de las Golondrinas. I have found that this design works the best. A wonderful and simple design! Rests and plates give you a better surface to shoot the arrow from. Having some sort of a material there will make the entire set up more forgiving and will reduce wear and tear on the arrows.
John, You may get a lot of answers here but this is from a guy like yourself. Lacking in the Archery expertise. The are rests for the arrow. You attach them to the bow. They are essential to our Archery program at a Summer camp. Good luck Chris
The flip rest should have the arm pointing forward and away from the bow. The arrow will set on the arm only.
The handedness of a bow refers to the hand that is used to draw the string back.
The plunger hole is for a plunger to be able to be installed with the rest. The plunger pushes the arrow farther away or closer to center to help to tune the bow to the arrow. It can help to compensate for an arrow that is too weak.

Yes, it will work with feathers.
