Elven Ranger Wood Bow Reviews

Great first longbow

Danny

This was my first bow past the kids compound i got when i was 12, i'm 24 now. i got it at the 40-45# draw and so far have no complaints, and i've had it for a few months now. It takes some getting used to but it's a very smooth draw and release and very quiet when fired. my grouping is getting closer together with practice so i don't fault the bow at all for my lack of accuracy. read more The painting and finish on the bow are beautiful and make this a very presentable bow while still being very functional. I will say that the buckskin grip was already coming up a little bit from the moment i opened the package, and very quickly started to deteriorate after only a few uses, but i can replace that later. I highly recommend getting the bracer/bowglove combo to protect your bow hand and forearm, as there is no shelf to shoot from, but other than that i have no complaints.

A lot of people like to look at this bow and ask to shoot it

I got the bow that I really should have ordered. 45-50# might have been to much.

Beautiful and fun to shoot

I have always shot recurve bows, and since this is the first longbow I have owned I figured I would treat myself to a really beautiful one. The hand-painted design is really great and I have been complimented by random strangers who wanted to know where I got it. It is incredibly fun to shoot and I am also incorporating it in my costume this Halloween! I haven't had it long so I read more can't comment on the durability but it feels sturdy. The leather may need to be replaced at some point but other than that I can see it holding up.

Great bow

When I got this bow I could not believe how butiful it was the pattern and stain are butiful. The bow in my opinion is acurit but I am no pro. Only down side was that the leather hand grip was cheep and fell apart after a dozen arows or so.

Purchased a 55-60 lb Ranger

Overall a great bow. Just a couple things I observed while opening the well packaged parcel. 1. The hand painted designs could have been done with a little more care. Not sloppy by any means, but could have spent a little more time laying it down for a more esthetic appeal. 2. The leather used for the grip surely will not last, and after a couple months of solid use.....I will read more look into replacing it with heavier leather. With that being said; I have easily looked past these and found a new favourite toy that I use daily. The 55-60 lb draw is a sturdy bow with a solid release. Once I found my comfort zone with draw and anchor......accuracy and grouping is very consistent. Thank you 3Rivers, and Joshua for getting me back into archery with such a well crafted bow.

Amazing First Bow

I'm giving this a 4 star because It's my first bow so I have nothing to compare it to. But I'd like to give it a 5 star. It's super easy to draw, doesn't have much hand shock at all, and is easy to string and unstring, even with the low quality stringer they throw in for free. I have no complaints with it at all!

Fantastic Elven Ranger Bow

Right from opening the package I was totally impressed with this bow. Weight and balance are great and the draw is excellent.

Cant beat it

first shot broke my carbon arrow (over 600 grain). cant beat shooting off the knuckle old school style. only draw back is its length so its awkward to string. but one of the smoothest bows I've ever shot
