This is actually the second farrier's rasp I've purchased. The first was a Nicholson, and while the two tools look alike, the 3Rivers rasp has much sharper teeth and cuts much better. It's very aggressive, yet easier to use than the Nicholson. If you're interested in making self bows, this is certainly a must-own tool.

Very poorly made. I hope it was just a fluk, and that it was the only one! I'll continue doing business with 3-River as this is the first time I was dissapointed with any of thier products. Thank you.

I bought this rasp for making self bows for myself and my 4 year old son. It's a heavy duty, aggressie rasp. Just what I was looking for.

If you don't have a farriers rasp in your tool kit this is the one for you! It is priced right but works as well as much higher priced rasps and should last forever!

This is a great rasp combo. You really cant beat it for the price. I have been using this rasp on a hickory flatbow that I have been making and it works great.

I've noticed that some of the other rasps that you sell are said to clog easily. I was wondering if this rasp has a tendency to clog?

I have never had a problem with this rasp ever doing it but I always clean it every 50 strokes or so. You should do that with every rasp.
