Han 3 Horse Bow Reviews

Good bow, tough technique

Lanny

I have had this bow for more than a year now and have been reluctant to write a review because I find the whole thumb ring archery to be difficult to perform. So please take my review in light of my own personal challenges in switching from Western to Eastern archery. Nonetheless, it is one of my favorite bows and I intend to devote more time to Asiatic archery. This is a beautiful read more and durable bow that performs on par with most longbows and recurves. While its lightness is a plus for carrying, I experienced hand shock and loudness upon release. I developed a blood blister at the base of my ring finger from the shock, but again this was probably due to improper technique. I am going to tackle this unique archery genre with renewed vigor and love that the first horse bow I ever bought is such a quality product. I see now that 3Rivers is finally stocking replacement strings for the Han 3 bow from Mariner but am disappointed to see a single string costs nearly $42! In any event, if you are interested in learning to shoot a horse bow you can't do much better than Mariner. I love my Han 3 and wished that 3Rivers would also offer Mariner's Warring States and other models, as well as Grozer bows (like the Crimean Tatar model) as additional options (hint, hint).

Bow is nicely made. I chose it because I believe bamboo and fiberglass are an excellent combination.

Elegant and functional.

I've wanted a bow from Mariner Bows for some time. I've heard their craftsmanship is superb. This bow delivers in spades. It is light weight and has a beautiful finish. It has a smooth draw and doesn't stack until around 32". Hand shock is minimal. It shoots as accurate as the archer. You can shoot fingers or thumb release. I own several horse bows and this one is by far my favorite.

This bow is 3rivers little secret. It is extremely lightweight and accurate. I purchased a #35 and couldn't be happier.

What a fun little bow to shoot

Bought this bow as lighter, fun to shoot, bow. Leave it in my truck and just have fun shooting it when ever and where ever I can. Great fun and great bow, for the price point. Bow is well constructed and seems quite durable. Bought a second one for my son. Could do small game with it. Fun to go out stumping with. I own 4 other bows as my heavier, serious bows, but I have to say read more I really enjoy shooting this little horse bow. Shooting it Western style now, but may try shooting off the left side, more asian style, for something different. Lots of great videos on shooting horse bows on YouTube.

Best bow I've ever owned!

I had a few takedown recurves, other horsebows, but this bow is my favorite so far. I was happy that you guys carry this Mariner bow, from their website it takes 8-9 months to receive one. Thanks 3Rivers Archery!
