I ordered several pairs of these Hickory slats. Out of 4 pairs I had only one slat that was not useful to me. (huge knot) I used it for handle wood. I was then left with one slat. I was able to rip the last slat into 3/16" backings. I pulled out 3 bows worth of backing. The other 3 were spliced together. I used a pyramid design. It made a great 60lb hunting bow. Can these be glued to a homemade riser and used as recurve limbs?

can this be band-sawed down to 1/8th strips to be glued up as a backing material for an oak-board bow? If so, what is the best adhesive for this process?
