Not really designed well.
I intended to use these for a traditional hand made Victorian long bow. The first set came drilled off center. I returned them. The second set came slightly better, but the string grooves were poorly aligned, but correctable. The biggest problem is that the holes are drilled wrong for bow building. The holes are not drilled with a taper, and they are too narrow for real bow building.… read more if you tried to fit these on a real bow, you would have to taper the bow down so narrow, the back and belly laminates would essentially not be inside the knock end and would end up breaking. If Tree Rivers wants to make these for real bow building, they should be larger with a tapered hole, and perhaps spend a little more time aligning the string grooves better.
Garbage, Useless, very disappointed in produst
This product took weeks to arrive. The horn was too thin. The string grooves cut completely through the horn. The grooves were also uneven. I was shocked this great company would ship such an inferior product.
I would recommend Beyond Bond item #5785 for installing Horn Bow Nocks.

There might be some that people make for themselves but a lot of people use belt or disc sanders for this. You can take the opening of the horn and put ink or sharpie on it and place it down on the limb tip giving you a guide on what you will need to sand off.
