Hoyt Satori Takedown Recurve, 17" Riser Reviews

Yes

Bow shoots like a dream. casts an arrow more straight than any other bow I've tuned. I've always had wood bows, so the bow felt heavy at first. But once u start shooting it you will see how that extra weight shines. It's not Shakey on target and dampens hand shock. The bow is very forgiving, I'm more accurate with this bow than any I've ever shot. Never crono it but seems to shoot read more plenty hard and is quiet. Cons to this bow is it's heavy , not as pretty and warm as wood, and the spacer for the shelf is not much.

If you buy the Hoyt satori you won't be sorry , right away you see and feel the quality of the Hoyt satori when you draw and shoot it, it sets perfectly in your hand, I just can't say enough about if.

Great riser

This is a great riser. Hoyt really listened to their customers on this one! I have the 17" and I love it. It does require some weight added to the stab bushing if you dont want it to tip back after the shot. I really enjoy this riser and could see myself buying a 21" for indoor shooting later.

I have a 29.5" draw length and prefer the Hoyt 17" riser with the "long" recurve limbs for a total 62" length bow. I currently shoot a Custom Bighorn with the same specs except with a 52# draw weight at 28" (measured) and am generally shooting around 54#

When you are going through the selections we have the weight adjusted per the riser chosen. So you will get what you see in the drop down boxes under that bow.

Are the UA Reaper limbs readily available? I am concerned if they are on special order that will be discounted by Hoyt? Is the gray storm riser still available in 17" right hand? Thank you!

You will be about 4-5# lighter than what it is advertised. So the 50# would settle you in around 45# at your draw.

My 17 with 50 lb limbs listed as 54 lbs. @ 28" by Hoyt, so 4 lbs 3 years ago

My 17 with 50 lb limbs listed as 54 lbs. @ 28" by Hoyt, so 4 lbs is added to the advertised draw weight listed on the limb if you're using the 17" riser. With your 26.5" draw length, you'll lose somewhere around 3.75 lbs, so you should wind up right around the AMO listed weight on the limb.

Yes you could attach one through the stabilizer bushing on all the risers. The ATA bushings on the side of the riser can use an AMS reel as well.

Why are the limbs rated at 49# instead of 50#? That is not what the Hoyt website says...

Hoyt weighs all the limbs on a 21" riser so we convert the weigh 4 years ago

Hoyt weighs all the limbs on a 21" riser so we convert the weight for the specific riser which comes out to 49#. This is an ILF bow so you can adjust a couple pounds up or down if you want it to be at 50#

Bamboo limbs are Natures Carbon. They are lighter which gives you a quicker recovery after you shoot. It also increases the speed and performance of your bow. Furthermore, they are more durable and more twist resistant.
