There is a deflection of 1/4", meaning the strip is curved sideways. I've purchased these in the past and had good results. This one was disappointing. Considering it's only 1 1/2" to begin with, the bow will need to be thinner than planned to account for the warping.

Is this a matched pair so you get one ply of rawhide per limb? If so is that enough or do I need to buy two or three sets, because typically when I watch a video of a boy you're doing a rawhide backing he uses three or four layers of the stuff
