Knight 66" Takedown Recurve Bow Reviews

A dream to shoot, with a few caveats

Kithor

This bow, with 30# limbs and a B-50 string, is probably my favorite bow to shoot. Super smooth and soft (granted with not a lot of power). I'm going to chalk that mostly up to the extra length; I basically just got it because it's the longest recurve I could find. I'd say it's an ideal beginner bow, and beyond. One other advantage is that any sights or stabilizers you put on it read more stay secure, since the mount holes are machined into the riser instead of screwed into the wood like the Samick bows, where I've had them screw themselves out. A few things though: - The string that comes with it is pretty much garbage. It works but it shreds in no time. If you want smooth shooting without tearing your fingers up too much, get a stretchy Flemish twist B-50 Dacron string. If you want more speed, go with FastFlight. - I'm really not a fan of the "high grip", where is feels like the whole weight of the bow is focused through your thumb webbing. I fixed that by wrapping 3 lengths of flat shoelace around the grip to fill in the deep part of it. Even still, I much prefer the Samick Sage style grip over this one. - The quality control on the limbs is iffy. The 50# set I got with the bow had one twisted limb - I didn't want to return it so I've just been fighting it by twisting it back. The 30# limbs I got separately were slightly too wide for the bow, especially if it was cold. It was possible to get them in there but it took a lot of force, until I fixed them by filing them down.

I've bought 2 and love both.

I bought this bow in a kit for the wife; took it out and shot it for a bit and fell in love. Sooo I bought one with 45# limbs to give me a break from my longbow and now it's a favorite. Its a smooth drawing; no stacking and shoots where I'm looking at. I'm shooting 31.5" GT classic carbons 400 with 125gr point. Use the dynamic spine chart as it always works great with carbon read more arrows. Overall I would highly recommend this for anyone from target shooting to hunting.

the grip is small for me but the high grip doesn't make too bad. with that being said I've had this bow for over a year and haven't looked back. this bow is solid through and through. i shoot the #40 limbs with a 31 inch draw and it is smooth from beginning to end. absolutely no stacking. i plan on getting the #55 pound limbs with confidence that nothing will be sacrificed in the read more whole process of drawing and releasing an arrow from this bow

Amazing

Love this bow. Sleek look and very clean draw/release. The arrow rest that moves out of the way is great.

In the proper poundage this would be a good hunting bow. It is lightweight and has a smooth draw. You can get extra limbs to change the poundage. It is a good value for the price.

The Knight 66 is a great bow for the money. Smooth draw at 30" draw length. Good quality at this price point with the only issue with the model with black finish is the paint wears of easily around the sight window. It reacts well to string silencers if you want to quite it down. Shoots accurately and is lightweight.
