A dream to shoot, with a few caveats
This bow, with 30# limbs and a B-50 string, is probably my favorite bow to shoot. Super smooth and soft (granted with not a lot of power). I'm going to chalk that mostly up to the extra length; I basically just got it because it's the longest recurve I could find. I'd say it's an ideal beginner bow, and beyond. One other advantage is that any sights or stabilizers you put on it… read more stay secure, since the mount holes are machined into the riser instead of screwed into the wood like the Samick bows, where I've had them screw themselves out. A few things though: - The string that comes with it is pretty much garbage. It works but it shreds in no time. If you want smooth shooting without tearing your fingers up too much, get a stretchy Flemish twist B-50 Dacron string. If you want more speed, go with FastFlight. - I'm really not a fan of the "high grip", where is feels like the whole weight of the bow is focused through your thumb webbing. I fixed that by wrapping 3 lengths of flat shoelace around the grip to fill in the deep part of it. Even still, I much prefer the Samick Sage style grip over this one. - The quality control on the limbs is iffy. The 50# set I got with the bow had one twisted limb - I didn't want to return it so I've just been fighting it by twisting it back. The 30# limbs I got separately were slightly too wide for the bow, especially if it was cold. It was possible to get them in there but it took a lot of force, until I fixed them by filing them down.
I've bought 2 and love both.
I bought this bow in a kit for the wife; took it out and shot it for a bit and fell in love. Sooo I bought one with 45# limbs to give me a break from my longbow and now it's a favorite. Its a smooth drawing; no stacking and shoots where I'm looking at. I'm shooting 31.5" GT classic carbons 400 with 125gr point. Use the dynamic spine chart as it always works great with carbon… read more arrows. Overall I would highly recommend this for anyone from target shooting to hunting.
Knight 66 Bow
3 Rivers replace the string for me. Very nice people in customer service
Great
I love this bow . I have 6 bows and this is one of the least expensive ones . I will tell you , I can pop every Baloon with this bow
A solid bow
the grip is small for me but the high grip doesn't make too bad. with that being said I've had this bow for over a year and haven't looked back. this bow is solid through and through. i shoot the #40 limbs with a 31 inch draw and it is smooth from beginning to end. absolutely no stacking. i plan on getting the #55 pound limbs with confidence that nothing will be sacrificed in the… read more whole process of drawing and releasing an arrow from this bow
Amazing
Love this bow. Sleek look and very clean draw/release. The arrow rest that moves out of the way is great.
If you get the bow set up we can weigh out the limbs and pick the highest poundage for you. We would also install all accessories on the bow and set the nocking point and brace height for you.
In the proper poundage this would be a good hunting bow. It is lightweight and has a smooth draw. You can get extra limbs to change the poundage. It is a good value for the price.
The riser has accommodations for a quiver in the side of the riser to accept any modern quiver
It is not an ILF bow just a standard bolt on takedown bow.
The Knight 66 is not an ILF bow.
The Knight 66 is a great bow for the money. Smooth draw at 30" draw length. Good quality at this price point with the only issue with the model with black finish is the paint wears of easily around the sight window. It reacts well to string silencers if you want to quite it down. Shoots accurately and is lightweight.
No, I have it and it uses it's own proprietary limbs.
No, it is not an ILF bow.
The Fast Flight string is a great string to go with this bow.
This bow has reinforced limb tops so any string will work. It is personal preference which you install, I use D50 for stretch, noise, and shock on the limbs. Flemish would work fine.
I just have the string that came with it. No problemsSent via the Samsung Galaxy S9, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone
Yes you can use this bow with that long of a draw length.
Yes, I have a 31" draw and it is smooth at that point, shoots great.
Yes it can remember that its poundage is rated at 28inch draw length so an 40 will be more like a 50 any of the longer recurves will be better suited for your draw length
yes you can. I have a 32" draw and it's fine.
Those are installed with a double sided tape. You can peel them off and remove any extra adhesive from the bow.
This is just glued on, should be able to just take off. Haven't tried, it's my wife's and she hasn't complained about itSent via the Samsung Galaxy S9, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone
When the bow comes, it is not installed, so if you are wanting to use another rest it's ready to go. Virus-free. www.avast.com
My bow came with the self adhesive stick on wire rest and it just peeled
The plunger acts as the strike button for your arrow when you shoot. It allows for you arrow to start to flex when the string is coming forward during the shot.
You do not have to use a plunger with this bow.
It is removable Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S9, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone
