I've been looking for a wide flat piece of leather for sometime now. I just fastened it to a block of hard maple, I think it's going to work out great. For work (landscape designer/landscape gardener) and in my own garden I sharpen knives and hand pruners frequently, in some seasons everyday. I'm sure it will be just as effective on hunting knives and broadheads.
