Jewelstik Stubby is a must have in every sportsmans pack.
These work great on 3 blades because you pull 2 blades on each stroke at the same angle as you pull the broadhead at a right angle to the Jewelstik and the grit is just right for a quick edge on just about any blade.
Great little sharpener!!!
I carry it in my nail bags hanging dry wall. It puts a quick keen edge on my hawk bill knife, as well as helping me to get every last cut out of my razor blades. I resharpen then until you can't put an edge on it any more. They say I won't wear it out in my life time. If anyone could test that it'd be me. Dad used to tell me u could tear up a bowling ball in a sand box. Lol
My best & "only go to" tool for keeping knives sharp.
Great product
It is really good.
Good shape, sizre, price and does a good job. Need to find another adjective.
Jewelstik is great!!
I like it a lot, I used to use a file and stone to get my Eskimos razor edged. Still may but man this jewel stick works great. Had a hair popping edge in no time great product.
As advertised
This tool is for touch-up or maintaining an edge. It is not aggressive enough to remove stock, so don't get it for that purpose. Works well on broadheads and knives.
Many uses
The best word to describe this little hone is "Santoku". A Japanese word that means of many uses. I purchased it mainly for putting the final edge on broadheads, but, find, that is just the tip of its potential. I am now using it everyday for putting a very sharp edge on all my cutting tools (Knives, cleavers, machete etc.) I hope their claim that it will never wear out is true.
Not for broadheads.
Does not sharpen Zwickey broadhead at all. Just kinda smooths it out.
Excellent tool
I only gave it four stars because I haven't used too many others. It puts a very sharp edge on my broad heads...very sharp.
It Works
With a file and this tool you can get any 3 blade head shaving sharp. Excellent for knives also.
I clean mine regularly with water and pat it dry with a paper towel. The handle could be washed with soapy water easy enough too.
Yes, you can use this to sharpen just like you would use a file. It can be used on nearly any knife or broadhead.
yes it will the jewel stick is in my back ack and kitchen wouldnt be without it. Maddog
Yes, the Jewelstik will work well for the curve of the blade.
I own this sharpener. And I sell cutlery you will love it. Don't even think twice buy it. Maddog Sent from my iPhone
I use the Stubby Jewelstik to sharpen my knifes and it does a great job. As for other broadheads, it will depend on your sharpening skill level, but the Stubby Jewelstik can do other broadheads without a problem.
When we use the JewelStik® we are hitting two blades at the same time (same with the file). Then we rotate the broadhead and hit another two blades, and rotate again. Be sure to start with a heavier pressure, but as you make full rotations to go lighter and lighter on the pressure. I also end with pulling the broadhead across a piece of leather.
