The Lynx II (Hungarian bow) is a static recurve bow. This is a very good bow, rugged in construction, with nearly the same smooth draw and quiet release as other horse bows, but at less cost. ...read more

Mine isn't the same as what is pictured.
My bow was much darker than pictured, hard to tell it's even green. The fuzzy wrap at top, middle and bottom are missing, and it seriously impairs the accuracy of the bow not to have that fuzzy strip where the arrow rests. Too much friction with the leather makes the arrow jump far to the side, about twice as much as a similar horse bow I have. I tested this by wrapping a satin… read more ribbon where the arrow rests, and got an immediate improvement. Frankly, I was really looking forward to having this bow, but it seems to be different than what is pictured and performs poorly because they didn't finish the job when they made it. I can't recommend it unless you want to finish the work of making this bow functional.
Fun bow
I find this bow to be fun and help me with fundamentals and I feel like a Hungarian invading Hunic Lands. I am still getting use to its aik but it is fun
Great bow
Great now already jave put 100 arrows through it and it feels great!!
Cool bow!
I'm just using this bow to practice with, it is a neat bow and I wanted to try something new. I haven't shot it yet, but I did string it no problem and will take it out soon! its really cool looking also, I ordered a brown bow glove from three rivers also and the leather on the bow matches perfectly! not sure if that was intentional or not, but I appreciate it!
Excellent bow
Bought this bow about one year ago and it's my first and only bow. As a "budget" bow of it's type, it's phenomenal. Accuracy, ease of handling and overall comfort are in my opinion, it's best features...especially without breaking the bank. I've had no issues, except what for me was a steep learning curve. For an out of the box, ready to go, zero maintenance bow that will last,… read more is beginner friendly and great for experienced archers as well...this bow would be very difficult to beat. The only thing that would convince me to pick up another bow, would be more draw weight. I have this in 45, and granted strength isn't an issue for me...this bow draws easy and at no point does it feel like 45.
Great buys and yes I would buy this items again if need be
Hunting mainly, but really a very special item
Stand Out, Looks and the sound of it
First off the main thing that I liked besides the Elven look it has is the sound. When you draw this puppy it makes that bending wood sound like in the Hobbit when the Elfs draw there bows, kinda cool. Excellent bow, however will require some practice to become accurate with it. But is very rewarding when you are able to. This bow actually requires skill unlike Compounds lmao. Make… read more sure you wear a glove when shooting this, or the arrows will cut your hand.
Pretty sweet bow
It arrived quickly
Superb quality, comparitively low cost
I already own a 50# Magyar Sport (fantastic product), and I bought the Lynx II at 35# for my wife. I fire with a thumb ring, but she uses a meditteranean draw and is used to having an arrow shelf, so she was understandably nervous about firing off the hand when the Lynx arrived. After about 10 arrows she had figured it out and was putting arrows on target more quickly and accurately… read more than she ever had with her old recurve, and she literally had people coming up to her the whole time complimenting her bow and asking her where she got it. Fantastic product, and very difficult to acquire here in the U.S., thankfully 3rivers is here to keep us traditionalists equipped.
Wonderful bow for mounted archery!
After spending some time with normal recurves, I was getting bored and decided to combine my years of riding expirience with my ability to shoot a bow. Initially I had difficulty finding a bow with a light enough poundage (on the back of a horse, you need something much lighter than on the ground), and this bow has many options at the 25, 30, and 35 lb range. It's really just… read more beautiful, and I get many comments on how elegant and exotic it looks. It's a steep learning curve, but I find I'm actually more accurate with this now than with my mondern recurve. More importantly, I find that most modern horsebows are actually pretty useless if you're trying to shoot them off the back of an actual moving horse. This bow actually works perfectly for that, and I've used it in mounted archery competitions and done very well with it. Good stuff!
No bow will fair well if dry fired , the bow will brake or de laminate , you may want to string it when you get to the range .
The leather wrap is for the arrow to slide , your hand should go under the wrap .
Yes the bow is based off a 30 inch draw and you would need to order the 40 pound bow to get the draw weight close to 35 pounds at 28 inches.
These bows have a set string length that come with the bows. So the brace height is set with the string that comes with the bow. Most are between 7-8 inches.

It is a wood/fiberglass bow.
I personally like wood arrows with this bow. The spine is going to depend on the weight of the bow you choose.

Yes you tend to lose 2-3# per inch ahead of where it is weighed so I would recommend going with what is comfortable at her draw length.
Yes they are.
