Great product....really got rid of noise and vibration
very easily installed and I immediately noticed a reduction in vibration noise. I strongly recommend for anyone shooting their recurve that is experiencing vibration noise. very inexpensive and an easy fix with this product.
It does its job well
I've read other reviews about it both good and bad. For me, It works well. As Long as you apply correctly, it'll serve its purpose.
Very good product
Very good product
Don't use , they will hurt your string ( on contact place)
Don't use them
Works if you can keep it on
Need to be very careful unstring bow or the string will rip this product off the limb. got so frustrated took it off.
Great...at first
These silencers were great at first, significantly decreasing string slap, noise and vibration of the bow. A few months into use, I began to notice some serious string (Dacron) wear at the point the string comes into contact with the rubber silencer. I thought I installed them correctly: string just barely touching the silencer; changed to a tougher string (now a flemish twist)… read more and am now beginning to notice the wear again. Maybe it's the operator....maybe its the design...?
Remedy bow silencer- dissapointed
Set up on my black widow pchx- no noticable difference. They looked good but one fell off of top limb after 30 minutes of practice, and then bottom one flew off next day. I made sure limbs were clean and installed them so they just lightly touched string. They seemed to stick very well, I installed them inside the house and did not shoot the bow until the next day. I was surprised… read more when the first one flew off, but was disappointed when the bottom one came off. Possibly the adheisive was bad . I have been shooting and hunting with traditional bows since 1986, I hope others have better luck .
Awsome!
Quick and easy to install. I had been having a hard time getting my bow string quite, well at least to my standards. Had tried many different silencers and brace heights and was about to try a new string but decided to give this a try and it surpassed my expectations. My bow is super quiet now. Wish I had ordered these sooner. Great product!
Don't Waste Your Money
These were easy to install on my OMP Mountaineer 2.0, but once installed, not only did they not do what they claimed to do (e.g., silencing the bow while increasing accuracy and arrow speed), but by adding weight (little though it may have been) to the bowtips, arrow speed and cast decreased, and overall accuracy suffered. That the adhesive also failed to keep the silencers in place… read more proved advantageous in this case, as it allowed for easy removal. In the end, a waste of time and money. For a solution that really works, try Limbsavers (even the miniature versions decrease hand shock and reduce noise); add Catwhiskers string silencers and you'll be quiet as a whisper.
It works
It does as advertised. The bow is quieter. I can't verify the increase in speed, as I don't have access to a chronograph. The additional plus, is that I can get rid of the "Calf hair" groove silencers that tend to move leaving a sticky adhesive residue.
These are best on recurve bows, as with a longbow the string should not lay on the belly of the limb. So these would fit on your Montana, they wouldn't offer the same benefits though.
Yes you will want to put near both string grooves on the limbs.
Did not work for me released from bow and it only works on bottom, because when you unstring your bow if you are not really careful you will rip it off the top limb.
Yes it does
I haven't tried these, so I'm not really sure. However, the string loop should be large enough to slip over it.
With a stringer you will be fine, but when using your foot with a push-pull method it is difficult.
