Quiet the bow for hunting
They really work
From the first, my new Samick Spider XL was so loud and sent shock waves, I nicknamed it Banjo. Also I began to think this thing is a big mistake. I couldn't share this with with my wife because after a lot of research on the internet I chose this bow as my Christmas gift from her. I had done everything to settle this thing down and it was almost there. The thought of putting… read more fluff balls on the string seamed wrong. Maybe for my daughter but not for me. Then I saw the Pine Ridge Wishbone Silencers, read the reviews and went for it. They really work! Now when I reach for Banjo I just smile instead of scratching my head and wondering what else can I do.
Easy installation
put on crossbow it helps
These little things work GREAT!
Tried theses just to see how/if they work as advertised. They do! Watch the 3 Rivers Video for installation tips...they'll go right on with no problems.
Easy Peacy
This guys where so easy to put on , all you have to do is st reach and warm them up and they go one nice and easy
So far so good
Good product so far. Easy to install. Just bend the tails through and pull tight over the lip. Deadens and quiets the shot well.
FINALLY - Easy to install and weatherproof
FINALLY, someone has come up with a string silencer that is easy to install, adjust and weather proof...not to mention silent. I've use all manner of string silencers and my complaints range from difficult to install, hard to adjust and aren't water proof. I place all string silencers on my bow's at 1/4 way down from where the string leaves the top limb and 1/3 way up from where… read more the string leaves the bottom limb. This takes advantage of the heterodyne effect of frequencies and cancels out not only the odd frequencies of string vibration but also the even frequencies. Put more simply...doing that way makes the string go 'Thump' instead of 'Twang' I like these so well I purchase 4 sets to give as gifts and keep as a backup supply.
Does pretty well
I have this on my recurve bow and it stops the slapping sound when the string hits the limbs. My bow make no sound at all. The only thing bad about it is that they don't stay in one spot, but still makes no sound.
They are sold by the pair.
The Wishbone Silencers are sold by the pair.
You pull the tails through the eyelet on your string.
Hi! Just wrap it around your string, pass the tails through the hole, then pull until the ridged collar pops through- now you are a stealthy predator :) happy trails! Sent from my iPhone
Pull the split ends through the eye, pull really hard. You could try wetting them. they are a little hard to do, but they work!! Jules
